Online is for sure happening. in 10 years probably more than 50% will be online. thats not the question here. the quesiton is does ocado have the sauce to deliver. is its solution viable to meet that demand? is it better than other providers etc. considering they were one of the first online play supermarkets ya would hope they have some advantage. but lets see what happens.

Now sainsburys going to be doing facial id recognition. on top of everything else. i could be wrong but i say online way forward. as for the sa ps constantly ordering deliveroo and just eat at £5 a go. just pathetic really. deliveroo has been terirble for society. imagine having to walk a little bit to get your mcdonalds. trusting your food with a random stranger. people are braver than me thats for sure.

Retire guy now ya just talking s hite. you been to supermarket recently? do people look happy? everytime i go which isnt often to be honest but people look misreble as sin. as i keep saying. barriers everywhere, hardly any staff. staff racing around with trolleys to fulfil orders. give ya funny look if ask them for anything. then ya got guys bombing in and out in full delivery gear to collect just eat and deliveroo orders constantly as lazy b asta rds cant go to get milk for themselves or plan a shop 1 day in advance.

Bless. you guys really naive enough to think that ocado and kroger not known about these issues for a while. im sure ocado have made efforts to advance their offering to MFC solution. surely they havent been that stupid to stay still. good companies move with the times and continue developing. surely there would have been discussion of this. TS mentioned it several times about how the clients are doing. putting some in the basket of requiring a different strategic apprach. this is a huge overreaction. the market is shakey on any potential bad news with modern tech. buying oppurtunity.

Maybe kroger take over ocado so they have more control on how the tech is deployed. i think completely detaching from ocado as in slowing down the relationship would be quite stupid. just because the relationship isnt working as they want, doesnt mean it cant surely? surely these t wats can get thier heads together and make suntin work. kroger have invested so much in ocado it seems the most logical way forward. most analyst of the relationship dont blame ocado tech for the failures. they blame it firmly on stupid managment decisions. management from ocado and kroger. ocado has amazing ip. shopping trends of customers throughout the world. unique insights on customer behaviour. invaluable to retailers. they just need to make it work.

Your right. amazon is most suited to ocado model. they could open huge amount of CFC all around the county with the funds and power to really shake up the market. im convinced no smoke without fire re amazon rumors few years back. clearly kroger stopped that. now they wanna talk s hite. another thought is maybe Ocado is simply going to adjust its model for kroger. who says they have to part ways. maybe ocado help them with thier in store fulfilment. would seem very strange to cut off from ocado when e commerce is one of thier fastest growing segments and by thier own admission online deliverys bring customers that continue with them throughout their entire eco system.

maybe not everything as it seems. the review could mean the relationship deepens and gets stronger. guess we will just have to wait and see. surely ocado should be able to adjust its model for clients different requirements? lets see what happens i say.

Can someone just please come in and make a bid like they did for deliveroo. put me out my misery. what a tick i am for not selling at 1000p few years back. averaging 300p and not selling at 1000p. thats probably gonna come back to haunt me lol

I will say this. we are entering make or break time. when the inevitable kroger announcement comes. its all down to if ocado can secure another retailer in the usa. if not then most likely this stock is finished. if they do secure another retailer with ambition and investment then it could fly. make or break lads. squeey bum time

Giantsquid. its an old fashioned bricks morter business. no offence run by guys over 60. its got no base in new york or other major citys that would highly benefit use of ocado tech. it was obvious they would never be able to use ocado tech to thier advantage the right way. they were focused on merging with albertson rather than using ocado too get ahead. now amazon and walmart pulling ahead. thier management are so smart they wasted years and 100s of millions on a failed merger. im sorry but i believe there are better run american retailers that can better use ocado. i genuinly think this is good.

Its been obvious for months and months kroger relationship in tatters. not sure for the reaction today. stiener hinted at it saying exclusivity coming to an end. last kroger call in june said they reviewing e commerce. been on the wall. this is a good thing. it frees up OCADO in the worlds biggest market. this had to happen. ocado would never grow with kroger. ocado also has lotte aeon and others. lol. big over reaction to a failing retailer. everyone knows kroger day is done and amazon will overtake them.

True believers in ocado should be happy with this news. previously ocado has been glued to krogers a ss. while kroger acted the s hite wit halbertson and what not. this frees ocado up to do other deals in the worlds largest economy. great news.

Society is becoming pathetic. too much effort to plan a shop one day in advance. very impulsive society. need it right there and then. the generation that has instant everything. instant video games, instant shows and movies. why should food be any different. of course they can all pay for it despite being in a cost of living crisis. we are breeding a very pathetic generation. no surprise just in time for AI. if they cant plan for thier weekly food shop what else hope is there

Gosh you lot. i told you lot yesterday this was going to happen. it will fall further as the kroger relationship is done. but dont worry. while most saps will see this as bad news and sell. long term this is great news. theyve been a big drag on the company for too long. and stopped the amazon takeover 2 years ago. good riddance. they are not willing to invest the amount needed to make OCADOs tech work. trying to merge with alberston and doing other stupid things. good riddance to them. amazon are looking to become a pure online grocery in USA. what better way than to have a load of cfc all over the country. amazon has the will, resources and vision. dont buy yet. wait for kroger announcement and this should fall below £2. then buy.

A logistics director for ALDI china liked a recent OCADO post. probs means nothing but does make you think if OCADO signed a deal in China. this share price would rocket. in many ways OCADO perfectly suited to chinese market. dense population etc.

Yh seems this will retreat unless some good news. have to keep momentum with this share other impatience afraid of taking a chance in life uk market loses interest. i spend alot of time with a family member in essex. they live in a big housing/flat complex. a year ago they were the only ones ordering from Ocado. now literally every day there is an OCADO van delivering to someone. gotta be a good sign surely.

Very reassuring to hear talk of strong deleveraging. That says to me they are on track. Deleveraging will drive this share price higher. if they reach thier target of around 500-600ml (3x5 ebita) reduction in debt then by default the share price will be at least treble what it is now based on Market cap. anything else such as growth, expansions and increased revenue and then we have a potential 5 or 6 bagger. personally im not selling until at least £2 but would not be surprised if this reaches £3 in 2027. problem is so many retail investors sell too early.
