Thanks, much appreciated. Just visited my local store and had a chat. Store looked great, pretty full (Clinton's was empty 3 doors down) and people buying balloons and gifts. Xmas cards already starting to appear. Professional and smart staff seemed happy, but mentioned staff cutbacks. The helium is now under the counter in this store so they can fill them without going round the back. Feels like lots of little tweaks. Feels like a successful business...

Well, the buying frenzy has stopped for now but we're still over 35% up from the recent bottom and 20% up from a reasonable recent buying average. The results and dividend announcement plus any business development wins will decide what happens next. It seems to me that recruitment of lots of relatively senior staff will have pushed costs up and wages generally have gone up. So there needs to be something quite positive (a further distribution channel arrangement, success abroad) to get this moving. It would appear that trading is roughly in line with expectation given the paucity of updates from the company. Fingers crossed.

I sold a few to buy some other stuff that seemed much too cheap. But still have loads of Card! Go baby go...

Not sure what you mean by reinstated but it was described in the last report and the level at which it would be set approximately. I think it was 1/3 of final div or something like that. But definitely mentioned, which I regard as reinstated! And approx 6 months after last final, so towards the end of the calendar year for payment.

I've got too much Card (happily) so it's easy for me to get a price on a big sale and the prices remain high. Usually if you sell a lot the system has to go down the tail a bit so your average price quoted drops. Not at present. Signifies consistent big buyer(s) out there. Hold!

I really don't think anyone needs to be thinking conspiracy theories after a near 50% rise over the past few weeks from high 80s. As others have said no news is no news - neither much better nor much worse than previously proposed.

I've sold a nice chunk at an average of about 125p or so, but still have a LOT. I had got to the point that this 'play portfolio' was almost 100% Card! Stressful for a while but the profits will buy me an E type Jag (they're cheap at present compared with a few years back...). Enjoying the ride and aiming for 150p soon as the FTSE350 buying pressure bites...

I wonder what the conversation is at Teleios? Congratulations on finally dumping that awful Card Factory, or why on earth were you such idiots?

I'm in too. Even with the threats this looks pretty safe and oversold by the market vultures. I'll take the dividend and await an improvement.

Looks to me as though Card now qualifies for FTSE350 at next review point. This should fly towards 130p I believe and well beyond...

Not exactly sure as whole market is up so the lower reaches of the 350 is a bit higher. I reckon about 130-135p though. As we get close the MMs will stock up which will take us closer and more quickly. Must be very close to that point... And of course hedge funds and short term investors will have sussed that out as well so all will be piling in. Possibly the September first half trading figures could scupper this if below expectations but not expected.

Card getting pretty close to the trigger point today, and has rocketed again with lots of Algo buys. I'm reducing my crazy over-exposure to Card slowly but keeping it as by far my largest holding as it has a long long way to go imho. Good luck.

Price held up very well indeed if the lousy LSE cheap reporting system is correct and some big sales went through including a £1M sell at lunchtime. Anyone know anything about this stuff. Sell or Buy?

Just for fun, tried selling a large chunk of my holding to see what I'd get. 15000 then 50000 then 100000. All offered 120.85p so someone is very happy to buy large amounts at that price. I didn't sell - of course...
