This isn't 'the City', which always had some honour. This is the aberration that is hedge funds and a US invention bred out of pure greed and a sad and ill-considered financial tool that our regulators could do much more to make work - but doesn't. Why? Corruption, ignorance, laziness, all of the above....

Price jumping up just before close a sure sign of being held back. This should keep rising from here in. Crazy cheap price and should have jumped a further 10p today...

Yes, I'm expecting this to be over £1.10 before Xmas lull... And £1.20 after mid Jan update. Should hit £2 a share before next Xmas... All imho and with a Ho Ho Ho, a mince pie and some booze!

Yes, US listing would double the company value. Really hope they do it! Almost a no brainer...

Begins to look like they'll just give the January post Xmas update unless they also release something about Q3. But that seems already too late. The good news is there's been no profit warning after Q3 and onths basis they said H2 would make up for poorer H1. Berenberg are doing their best and has fended off the latest shorting attack. Yes, nice big private buys and plenty of Algo buys. Does look as though the new bunch may be a little out of kilter with broader shorting sentiments. Go, baby, go. The decent weather mostly over last few weeks and expected for next few weeks (with some very notable horrid exceptions) should be good for Card.

WorldQuant is a bunch of short termists damaging firms over several continents, but with only a vestigial presence in UK - little more than a PO Box in Mayfair. I guess retail businesses in the UK hardly have the most glorious of futures as Britain sinks below the waves under successive moronic and cowardly governments. But it will still take a long time to scare everyone out of the country other than Russian oligarchs and energy tycoons plus the odd media star or whatever. The plebs that are left behind on minimum wage living in Weetabix houses shivering and living with blackouts will need something to spend their meagre funds on other than drugs and tattoos. Meanwhile hold until our next glorious upturn. Usually between mid January and the Summer...

Some sensible money will move in at some point. But need deep pockets with the corrupt shorters at their game. Some news from the BoD or even a transaction or two would help. There's obviously a game or two going on. Someone keeping the price down ahead of an acquisition attempt at a low price? Someone aware of something bad regarding the US move? We will see. Just remember - if you sell at this price or really under about £1.10 you are part of the problem...

Of course some follow (and lead) after a local jump, but it is mostly A trades if you actually look at the data. Plenty of A buys creeping back in. I just find this abuse of markets unhelpful. The concept of an efficient market is little more than a joke. US well over-valued in many areas, but UK under-valued and abused by Shorters and PE working together. I nearly sold a chunk this morning but decided to wait which was a bad coin toss. Concerning lack of news - yes this is simply not good enough. Well, there will be something before much longer. I guess the lack of a profit warning following the half year statement must be a good sign of some sort...

After a nice rise this morning it looks like there's an Algo attack again. These ridiculous situations make a mockery of the UK stock market which is going to lose more and more stocks as the regulators allow Cowboys to profit and damage our economy and businesses. Hardly surprising that Darktrace has left. Our regulators and governments really don't have a clue. Anyway, this is another annoyance to be ignored and wait for the recovery... Shouldn't be long.

That sounds very encouraging... Just don't understand the silence. The linked in stuff that CF does is pretty active and looks very positive and exciting as well... Looks confident.

Hoping the stock wasn't sent to the US optimistically and then the deal fell through because of Trump's tariffs. The lack of any news is worrying given the sp, Xmas and this information. Annoying to have no information for what is critical price information.

Not wishing to be cautious or negative, but shorts have been increasing a bit last day or two... Looks like there's probably a total of well over 2% shorting as the louses hide under 0.5%.

Way overdone... But footfall still a factor, strengthening USD a factor, shipping uncertainty, poor profit first half with no information since, and business rates / shoplifting / insurance costs all up. But... CF can easily raise prices by 10-15% and still be excellent value. And should charge a bit more for balloons. I also think a simple scheme like 10% off over £10 spend, 20% off over £20 spend would really help... Looking like £1 before Xmas and could go much higher with some sort of positive news.
