Silly Algo manipulations still ongoing although obviously good to see the shorts mostly closing. The current sp is little more than joke even in broken Britain but looks like we'll need to wait until early / mid January before any sense creeping back in. I can be patient... You'll be fine... I bought back in too early as well. The way I see it, excess profits are vulgar and too much goes to the wretched government. Small but perfectly formed profits will have to suffice. Good luck!

Yes, sort of confirms that the market price is being and can be manipulated. All signs are currently good for January update. I was on a new smallish store in Oxted in Surrey today. Cheerful mostly young staff, store not very busy but has only been open about a month and well stocked and neatly managed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Xmas cards aren't selling as well as normal. There's little point getting a card for 5p or less when the stamp costs well over a pound! So I expect deluxe cards are selling better as they tend to be given rather than posted and look nicer (and still great value). However, great footfall promotion as well as getting rid of Xmas cards you don't want to stick away for 11 months...

Unless there's something extraordinary going on, this sort of price manipulation is usually trying to get you to sell once the price start to recover or panic sell as the price drops. This share is spectacularly under-valued presently and private investors are the best source of cheap stock for shorters. Don't be fooled! All imho of course...

Saw Jacob Rees-Mogg in the Westminster Card Factory. He was asking for some paper doilies. They sell condoms and vodka specially for the MPs and Lords in that store and a few light recreational drugs under the counter. Most important to know your customer... Shop was packed with toffs.

Good idea. I went into a couple of stores and the gifting was pretty meagre (crap). But as a destination for Mums with young kids or older adults I expect they will buy some of this rubbish. I always find the helium balloons a very compelling product and general celebration bunting, wrapping paper etc will always sell if competitively priced. So, along with the cards (and Xmas cards will probably be down quite a bit thanks to post and general changes in society) I'm sure it will be a decent Xmas run. And loads of room to improve prices...

The young Mrs Browns still have children and will soon stop buying MP cards when little Fifi and Mohammed want to send cards to their friends at school. Cards are now as much about celebration as moments in time, and giving and receiving. Spontaneity and immediacy are big parts of that. As long as CF presents an image and experience substantially about pound shops they will do well.
