The USA has become an unstable basket case. The damage Trump has done will mostly be irreparable. Trust, which is so vital in economic affairs, has been destroyed. Businesses, investors, and nations will seek to insulate themselves from the USA. The uncertainty will continue as long as this current U.S administration is in office.

There will always be uncertainty, along with rudeness and unprofessionalism, as longe as Trump and this administration are in office.

What they've managed to do so far is tarnish the American brand.

IMO, the only sensible thing to do is align closer with Europe - after shooting ourselves in the foot a few years ago that's easier said than done. We clearly have no ally in the U.S. - any deal will come at a high price in one form or another. While the situation has undoubtedly thrown up opportunities the bigger picture, for the U.S anyway, does not bode well. I've been warning about Trump for a long time, he's actually very weak and believes his own hype.

You are an incredible idiot if you think any of this is to do with the CEO. An even bigger idiot if you think the gloomsters predicted any of this. This day is a gift, maybe the coming days too. Those who haven't sold have not lost anything. The wise ones will retaliate against all these tariffs by increasing their holdings by 104%. I've always had the view of staying in until at least the end of 2026 - - so nothing lost. If Trump's gone by then, it's a bonus.
