They really have backed themselves into a corner having just let things drift on without securing additional capital. The share price is so weak now that it would be confetti dilution if they tried a raise this way! And on the other hand given their current position who is going to loan any capital!

Kala aren’t going to come to there aid unless they can turn a good profit.. and currently it is unclear of their business intentions.. other than what they have currently on site ..

How big an influence KALA will have over Tlou’s immediate a) financials B) abilities to attract further fund for other sources is currently unknown.

But the way the company announced the signing of the deal suggests that they where at least at first willing to pump considerable capital in to the project! “Transformational “ fully fund”. This is just the start “ suggested that Tlou certainly believe this.

Has this changed? Or has it just been held back by the slow delivery and subsequent slow bring on line the first of 6, 1 mw data centres.

Well I’m not sure about that, but the fact Kala are still pushing forward might suggest they are, well at least for now. What I don’t think is helpful is the lack of detail released about the link up . Especially what and how much they intend to produced and the value of that data?

Tlou”s precarious position financially isn’t good and its failure to dewater successfully thus producing improved gas flows is a massive worry . This has been reflected in the share price .

They have talked for years about bringing in new financial partners especially from within country .. Nothing has been forthcoming coming! Is this likely to change given where the company currently stands?

TG has always managed to limp on and find investors like the Doc and the pension fund . What’s was it that attracted them to the project and why is the Doc willing to keep the lights on for now!

To be fair to the company they have been saying for a while that gas flows aren’t as good as was hoped . But suggested they were on top of this .. And therefore had pushed forward with all the infrastructure . This is current looking like a terrible decision. And the capital would have been better spent getting the gas to flow.

I’m really not comfortable with how TG left the company and then followed by 3 long term directors! The message this gives out is, all is not well within the company! And the latest up-date seems to suggest they all left because of the current state of play the company is in! Rather than for anything else,

Share trading suggest there is still some interest in the company all be it a the very low value it is currently trading at. Is this seen as an opportunity or just a massive punt! Only time will tell .

More like at least he’s honest unlike some …..on here

Truth is Brad .. the Gas flows are key to the success of this project . And I’m sure Kala wouldn’t have invested a few million up front without proper due didn’t ! But gas flows remains to my the biggest concerns. Sort that a funding would certainly be easier to obtain .. iMHO

There must be more to it than being in a club of like minded failures .. But how does Parsons’s still get these gigs given his total and utter failure to add any value for its shareholders in each and everyone of his other companies.

He has also rewarded himself handsomely for all of these failures along with the other execs and directors .. all paid for through it shareholders not profits .. and that says it all.. IMHO

i do really think brad has missed the significance of the gas flow.. without this there isn’t a real cbm project at all. and they could do a solar farm anywhere and closer to the grid for sure. all the years of showing the burn off pipe with the strong flame… was that to fool investors ?

i to am totally ****ed with how all this has been handled! not that i thought tg was the messiah but i did think he was honest.. not so much colm who in my view was / is full of baloney! which he proved on my occasions,

Nobody is going to be interested in the company in its current state! It’s got bits of everything but nothing is connected or works as it should do!

We have been hoodwinked for years! Definitely with the gas issues and also failing to securing funding. You can now see why the Botswana finance company drop any offer of a mezzanine loan! Colm has been in discussions with potential investors for 6 years now … but still they haven’t committed. I’m starting to think TG was a lucky operator rather than a shrewd one!

They treated the gas flow issue as a minor problem throughout the last 5 years but have never been able to resolve it. And now they hardly have enough to run a domestic gas cooker let alone a 10mw plus power station .

Trouble is whatever advantage they may of had a few years back has been destroyed by, exceptionally bad strategic management ..poor project management and totally failed drilling program.. in Summary it’s a total and utter shambles!

The company has been held up in Brisbane for a few years now with the drawbridge up … and now you can see why

they definitely have been living denial of the situation they have managed to manufacture, but i find all the over promoting the financial benefits of the kala deal totally out of order!

this is possibly colm who has a history of over promising on everything but especially financial stuff. then delivering sweet fa i can still remember him say getting finance isn’t a problem about 7 years ago and look where we are now.. up **** creek with a broken paddle

The other thing I was thinking is things can’t be as bad as they seem or why would the doc keep funding to keep the lights on..

Surely that would be throwing good money after bad. And he has already invested deeply in shares and loans ..And if it went tits up he is unlikely to get much back if any!

So you could say he’s looking after his already committed funds .. but still ..so is it as bad as they are implying or not ?
