First thing I'd expect from a New CEO is for him to put his own cash into the business in the form of shares bought, not options. If he doesn't think it's a good opportunity ....then why should anyone else. And that is where we are ... JC does not seem to believe his own story ..because if he he'd be buying ..FULL STOP
Not much once you take out salaries out ...... this is now a corner shop business with very little scope to develop anything substantial .... more shares than confetti at a Unification Church wedding
I find it hard to believe the Doc would have invested / lent so much capital if the gas pressure was poor. As without this the project has no value was so ever. But why the company are keeping quiet on this subject is beyond me. They have been very poor on comm’s for some time and this hasn’t helped when trying to get funds from existing shareholders .
Time for TG to come out with a clear path and timeline to fiirst
revenues . The story is very stale with so many missed key dates and
Schedules constantly pushed back.. The last push should be debt financed they have milked the shareholders to many times over the years whilst the share price performance has been poor to say the least. 90% of existing shareholder will be well under water and will have been for years . The silence for Tlou towers is deafening , , time to come out from behind the sofa and lead me thinks … over to you TG may be announce the gas pressure volume. info for a starters …
So if the Doc was out from the start and Pension Lot weren't in either, then what did they really think the take up was going to be.. given the failure last time back in May/June ? Whilst i think the directors take up is a good signal there was nothing else to suggest a big ake up by the rank and file...Surely unless i'm missing something
If you read the RNS then you will see that the Doc chose not to participate in the offer so it was always on a hiding to nothing from that point. The company must have known that ages ago…. it looks like he possible didn’t agree with financing through this method and preferred debt financing. Whizzer is right we are blind to actual revenues and what the profit margins are once into the grid. It’s been smoke and mirrors of some time
I’m not surprised on considering there wasn’t much interest the last time . it was only 6 months back! and nothing much has changed . Think it’s time for Colm to earn his salary now! As he has been saying for years that there are plenty of investors wanting a to invest both within Botswana and else where. Yet they don’t seem to be coming forward hence another attempt at an entitlement offer. Which has yielded very little, all things considered …was it a calculated risk or crux of desperation.. time will tell …l guess
The ASX shares seems to rise and fall on very little volume... makes the share price very volatile ..........yes it will be interesting to see where the funding will come from
There is only senior management ... says it all really!
Surprised they didn’t mention the gas flow rates .. if good that may have encouraged holders to take up the offer ..
I think you fall foul of this requirement Brad:
Eligible Shareholders
This Offer Booklet contains an offer of New Shares to Eligible Shareholders. Eligible
Shareholders are those holders of Shares who:
(a) are registered as a holder of Shares on the Record Date;
(b) have a registered address in Australia, New Zealand, and Botswana; and
(c) are eligible under all applicable laws to receive an offer under the Entitlement Offer
without any requirement for a prospectus or similar disclosure document to be lodged
or registered.
Here’s thing .. I have always known the risks. Involved in getting Tlou through the murky waters of bring a industry to an African country. Having spend some time in South Africa throughout the early 2000’s .. And have always seen it as a minimum of 10 years to see any real return and I started investing in 2016\17 and yes I’m under water .. but it’s still with in my time frame .. My original research I did then and the conclusions I came to is still holds true today .. I have built up quite a reasonable large holding .. But still see the risk worth taking .. as I see it as a nothing ventured nothing gained proposition … The coming months will show us exactly where we are now, where we want to be and how we are going to get there.. I have every confidence that this will come good !
I'm with Brad there why would somebody spend ten years or so trying to prove that TG and tlou don't understand the country's business culture and how to navigate it to a successful fruition. Yes one might spend a short period of time highlighting what you think .and where they are going wrong in your opinon ..then move on ... But to keep it up for such a long a period of time and under many guises. Is not the actions of a rational person.
I have nothing against BOT's Donkey or whatever on a personal level .....but find it quite tedious to read his skewed view of all things Botswana/ Tlou....If he has invested in the company then why has he spent all these years trying to prove their failings and if he's not then WTF the point in spending all this time on something you don't have a vested interest in.. It doesn't make any sense to me! "answers on a postcard"
No surprise there! Parson's etc ... have little grounds to overturn this ruling unless they has sight of the companies accounts, which is highly unlikely. I assume the court saw proof of insolvency even if it's highly suspicious... these accountants can hide anything if they want....It seems
You would have expected the company to have taken soundings, regarding the likelihood of the placing generating enough interest! This is why they have adviser and designated stock brokers etc . Who have the ear of the major shareholders etc . Colm has always said getting finance isn’t a problem ( but not sure he’s got any credibility left after some of his flippant statements of the past). As you say time will tell …but I’m sure the company haven’t gone into this blind .. that’s for sure We’ll I hope not !
Stating the obvious again BOTs .. is there no end to your business acumen .. we are all so grateful you share your wisdom with us minions
Truth is Budd did not care where the share price went as long as they had
A) funds to a) pay his salary
B) Keeps the lights
He really didn’t know what and when sales would be made..
The new CEO brings a more positive hope that momentum will gather.. which gives the share price the ability to swallow up the over hang and some ..
That just sum up your understand of what running a business means!! This all historical …. where is the business going with or out these claims… Do you know any Private business that would have so many executives and directors .. but has no real business activities other than the claims process … no i didn’t think so and Why is that? Because they need solid income, monthly or quarterly to pay people! This lot have done Nothing in 3 years? To get new income …. FFS
Panman ———Ha, Ha, Ha …really? ..he’s been so proactive over the last 3 years hasn’t he …FFS
I do agree that there surely can't be any further hold ups on the roll out. This has been pushed back numerous times in the last year alone. Time to bring it to fruition ..........methinks!
