Bots i've never portrayed that i have been there or have any idea about the politics of Botswana. But I have spent a lot of time in SA. So have a bit of knowledge on how things work in Africa.

I have only invested in Tlou to make a profit and if successful then the country of Botswana will benefit in a number of way . So from that point of view it's a win win situation. However the existing Government haven't pulled up any trees and haven't aided Tlou's pursuit in bring a new industry to the country at all and in many ways have hindered it.

But as far as i'm aware they have all the required paper to get this project producing power, so a change of government isn't going to effect that at all.

i don't confess to be able to see into the future and how the new government will see this project. But it can't be any worse than what going be for and it really may be a benefit. With new attitudes and may be a new perspective on paying for expensive imported power. After all the people voted for the new lot so they must have something to offer them.

As for me not offer anything of value.. I think if you were to have a straw pole of readers on here ..they would vote that 99% of the stuff you write is totally irrelevant and one sided. As you have said to others just block me if you are bored with my stuff

Not sure that a New government would be a terrible thing for Tlou considering little help tlou has gained for the existing party over the years! New eyes might be of benefit ..But it also could be case of better the devil!

Regarding IG ISA and ASX shares as far as I can see they definitely held in a iG UK ISA ...I did a dummy trade and it offered me a price to buy into my ISA.... Interestly the current price to buy was more or less the same as buying on the AIM ....they do the FX transaction and fee as one...so no delay with transaction to sort out FX or need to hold AUD in your account. Obviously you are exposed to FX volatility.

Why can”t people wait for an RNS rather than second guessing what report. Says .. it hasn’t specified any clear recommendation as far as I can see

The Botswana government seriously don’t deserve any foreign investment what so ever .. personal greed is the name of the game in that country and many of the other African nations political systems, Same in S A .. it’s a sad but true fact .. they never seem to want to help themselves.. But make it inordinately difficult for foreigners to make a success of any thing without feather their nest first!

Brad go into your IG ISA account and look for Tlou ASX on the UK system .. Then see if you have the option to trad them from this account.. Failing that give them a ring. And see what they say .. from where I sit you can buy on

The UK ISA account trading platform but the fees and FX costs are calculated prior to you dong the trade .. But I might I have tried it as I have had no desire to.. Sons1 has and says it is possible .. so this must be right

I have just looked at my IG ISA account and it shows Tlou on the ASX as one I can trade … So I think and assume that means you can hold it with in it and trade it

That’s good to know .. Brad needs to talk to IG then … I had a look at the government website and if you look at it, it outlines recognised exchanges of which ASX is one .So I ca’t see why you can’t hold them with in the ISA wrapper.. But it’s wording is quite confusing as usual!

May be he brought through his trading account and then wasn’t allowed to transfer into his ISA without Bed and ISA them.. But that wasn’t explained to him and d he was left thinking you can’t hold them with in an ISA

BRAD…this from the IG website and does’t say you can’t put ASX in an ISA account ..it reads as if you can …but you have brought on the ASX and have not been allowed …it’s a bit confusing…

Obviously everyone would want to keep their share under the ISA tax wrapper if at all possible ….. As with more or less everyone else I’m currently stuck on the Titanic… but if and when it eventually refloats ..the wrapper might be handy ….

Personally I would have been more concerned if they had ditched the ASX and kept the AIM registration. The ASX seem’s more regulated and much less of a casino and Wild West. Type investors .

As Brad says the Doc would need TG and the Pension fund to agree to going private .. This may be the Doc s motivation although I doubt that myself .. he could have just played in wait .. for the last couple of years without investing and watch as Tlou failed to get funds in and then picked it up .. out of administration cheap as chips ..

It’s got nothing to do the with TG being a Saint .. But I do think he has integrity all be it not in some of the gas flow rate up dates .. As for Colm well the jury’s out with him he has said to many. White lies .. to have to much integrity

I do find it strange the problem with gas flow has rumbled on without being addressed resolving it. After all it is a key part of the whole project and why TG chose Botswana. No Investment business is going to loan funds without gas flow rates that are commercial are they?

Ok .. that may be true due to the fact it wasn’t mentioned either way ! It seems a little strange not to mention it, but then it does say, once gas flow are sustainably and constant it will make external funding stronger proposition . I would have thought this would obvious…as it is a key element of the whole project

Looks to me the flow or gas and dewatering has put the last lot of funders off. As they say they have problems with the dewatering pump and fines blocking it. Surely this should have been sorted as an urgent requirement months if not years ago

May be it was him who said he will lend more but only if you ditch the AIM.. He must know more than most and has pumped in a fair wedge of capital. It looks like without him this project would be toast. Its seems the country of Botswana doesn't want or financially back projects that in the long run will benefit the nation. It must be so frustrating for the board and workforce to be so close ... But no one believes them

So it looks like the funding from the botswana investment company has fall through as there's no mention of it
