@Damod haha! Totally agree. Just a quick fact check - DYOR - ONS, PHE - ref.
- NO healthy children have died from Covid.
- up to the age of 18 you are MORE LIKELY to be struck be lightening
- up to the age of 25 - you are MORE LIKELY to die from the flu or pneumonia.
- up to the age of 40 you are MORE LIKELY to die in a car accident.
I forgot the ones after that lol.
It gets really scary now - study from circa 1990 on recessions in the US - for every ONE PERCENT increase in US unemployment - there are 37,000 EXCESS DEATHS (incl 1000 suicides) - when corrected for today’s population, analysts make the number closer to ~48,000 people dying for every ONE PERCENT increase in US unemployment. And OF COURSE the demographic is completely different for these people dying - younger, healthier.
They are now saying tens of thousands will DIE from delayed diagnoses in the UK (cancer etc).
“Killer virus”........
These are facts. Don’t reply with opinions. The response to covid has been COMPLETELY disproportionate. ~45% of deaths are care homes. If we had shielded them what would the total look like? Less than a flu season.
And oh, about lasting affects. For those that end up in ICU’s (very very small minority) - ONE in 20 have difficulties 3 months later. Again, FACTS. (Source - NHS).
We done hear about deaths from obesity, flu, cancer etc etc on a daily basis - so the simpleton thinks “OMG 100 people dead” - it’s not that simple.
