The excitement of the drill bit will get people over here just like it did with HE1, and once people notice AEX and the resource potential we should hit a new sp level that will be the new base level. And the fact that ARA/ TPDC have plans for route to market (unlike HE1) goes a long way. (Just need that development licence). Slow and painful, yes, but we'll get there and have our day!

Crusty, I think AEX is so under the radar with ARA in the driving seat and AEX has zero PR skills. If people were aware of the current situation of what is in the bag and what is potentially due soon then there would be a lot of II's who would jump in now. I agree that others will want to wait for the DL to get on board but they would potentially be missing out of a 50-100% rise once announced.

The difference between getting in at sub 1p or around 2p, financially, could be a huge difference in the future, and that difference in my eyes is the DL which i think is nigh on approved. Hence the phrase "high risk, high reward".

I think the development license is a dead cert and has been imminent for some time now. The only reason i can think of why it is taking an age is possibly the TPDC are thinking of using their back in rights which if was the case, it would have to be written into the DL.

Does anyone know if the TPDC can back in at any point they like during the 25yr DL or would it have to be done prior to its initial issue?

Jack, the presidential elections are Oct 2025 not this year. Oct 2024 is the local elections.

The local elections are not until October so I bloomin hope there is some sp action before then.

We'll be due the annual results by the end of April so the BOD will have to spill something then (and i dont mean more of "imminent, very soon, etc". If they haven't released the cpr results by then, they better have a good reason why not other than crappy excuses. If there's still nothing juicy by then, well, then it's the AGM in July, where they can be looked in the eyes.

Max, you're lucky if you get out at break even, most are trapped in here or would have to take a loss and walk. I'm also at the point of walking away and taking what I can.

It may come good but I think another 3yrs minimum at the current pace, by which time AEX will have run out of funds and need to raise capital.

The load I have in my pension have a good 15-20yrs to come to fruition (he says bravely)

I agree wonderer, things should progress quicker once the development licence is issued as most other work fronts are in ARA's hands. Its just a case of getting the golden ticket that is the frustrating thing. Its easier to find a Willy Wonka golden ticket!

The BODs promises and timelines have proved to be worthless so far, the above comment is no exception. Take everything they say with a large pinch of salt. You would of thought they would have learned to omit such comments in any RNS by now, but hey ho, I'm sure we'll hear something imminently, very soon, in due course, etc, etc

Wanderer, let's not mix words. The recent RNS said, in regards to the issue of the development licence, "......Which will allow the award of a rig contract and enable the drilling of Chikumbi-1"

Not as you wrote "once that (development licence) has been received then the drill rig contract will be confirmed with a date for spud."

Depends on how people read the RNS. have they found a rig or will they start looking once they have the development licence?

Some might read it as, we've got one in mind and ready to sign upon receiving the licence.

Anyway, either way. We need a progress update. CPR would be nice.

Signed a GSA contract last week.

CP, to say Aminex isn't an oil company is absurd. AEX haven't just invested in Ruvuma, they were operator (75%) and now 25% owner. Not to mention operator of Kiliwani & 100% of Nyuni licence, and before you say "yes but what are they last 2 doing for us", that's not the point, the point is AEX is an exploration O&G company, hopefully moving towards production again soon.

Was Santos not in Zanzibar signing the GSA? Eclipse Investments weren't there signing and they surprise surprise they are an investment company, in Aminex.

This board cracks me up sometimes.

The cabinet of ministers are holding the final piece of the jigsaw before ARA can plough on with minimal input/signatures needed from the Tanzanian authorities going forward. Once we receive the 25yr development licence approval I think we'll see progression at a decent pace.

Come on CoM's sign that licence!
