However, ARA can't proceed with CH1 until the new location is approved by the authorities. You're also assuming they have a rig contract as that is the only way to proceed.

Even if they did have the above, would they proceed to spend millions of $$ without a GSA/FDP/ 25yr licence?? My personal opinion is that they are holding off doing anything until they get some confidence back from the authorities in the form of the above mentioned. Once they receive at least the GSA/25yr licence then it will be full steam ahead, as those 2 items give the company and AEX shareholders numbers to crunch, especially when we get the CPR, which I also think is a vital piece in the jigsaw holding things up.

The only thing they can proceed with is the NT-2 well test. That is a mystery, as it was penciled in for last March.

again, agreed means nothing. the government bodies, attorney general or cabinet of ministers, will have the time to read and pick up on missed items or ask queries, it's their job. do you think they're going to just sign something, put their name to it willy nilly. i certainly don't in my position. if i had to sign something off as high profile as that you're damn straight i'm reading it. and as you said, it's tanzania, if you f@*k, you're out on yer ****!

Why people still choose to believe things like, "GSA agreed waiting approval" is concrete is beyond me. Not one piece of info mentioned in the Sept 29th RNS has happened as "promised" by end of year.

Something being agreed means nothing until it is actually a signed off document. Not the end of year sp I anticipated but hey ho, we are where we are, which is isn't much further forward. Next missed deadline is the CPR by year end. Let's go for a full house AEX!

Just to be clear, I'm not directly involved in drilling but being in my position I am privy to the ins and outs and have picked up alot over the years.

Forgot to mention the possibility of additional equipment for the actual well testing (route to flare), but again I don't think this needs an actual drill rig.

Crusty, NT 2 work over does not need a proper rig, all it needs is a mobile mast with wireline equipment. This is used for multiple tasks including well data and to reperforate the sands, down hole repairs, etc. That equipment can fit in a 20ft container and costs next to nothing compared to a rig. For all we know it could be in one of the containers onsite, shipped from Oman. The Zubairs will have all this equipment (owned from their Oman operatios). The reason it has been delayed from March is probably due to a standoff between ARA & Tanz.

I have over 20yrs offshore experience hence my above opinion.

RJ, NT2 requires a mobile unit for well testing. NT1 needs a drill rig for the work over which was planned using the same rig as used for CH1. I don't think the HE1 rig is capable of the NT1 & CH1 job

I'd say we're pretty safe for that. Natural gas usage in Tanzania would be an improvement to lower their emissions, its cleaner than what they use now for domestic and commercial purposes (wood, coal, diesel, etc)

All the COP gatherings are just horse poo. Promises made on the day then forgotten about tomorrow. It's an excuse for big wigs to meet in mass and do business.

The point being, Tanzanian gas will be needed and used by its citizens and neighbouring countries for decades to come.

Edgar, can you explain why the RPS CPR of Dec 2018 is 1.87tcf yet APT have it at 8.34 in May 2021? Surely both were looking at the same previous data (2d's) as nothing was done between those years, yet vastly different estimates?

8tcf based on 2d siesmics doesn't necessarily mean 3d will confirm that or more, it swings both ways. Clearer 3d siesmics might confirm what they thought was there isn't actually as much as they thought.

Just to be clear, I'm hoping for the positive CPR. I'm just putting it out there, the other side of the fence, so don't shoot me down.
