BioMSAR is getting stringent testing and so it deserves. We all wish MSC would move faster,
We (nearly) all wish there was more pressure on fuel suppliers signing up to deliver it more quickly.

I see the potential success with CSO BioMSAR as doing exactly these things.

Accelerating our fuels testing, trialing, supplying and also opening more closed doors in more boardrooms that will see this as a ‘deliverable product and at scale’
It’s the last flat sided piece for me that allows the jigsaw puzzle to be completed.
This will be our foot on the gas
And yes I acknowledged that we need Morocco short term.

Maybe this visit to Vertoro and this ‘sweeter by the day’ piece is celebrating test results in advance of them being announced to the market.

Maybe a few changeovers due in what is a busy schedule for shipyards these days. Can’t afford ships to hang around long.

I get why new build cement works might invest in a top down electric solution (if energy prices stack up?)
But will a traditional mineral miner with incumbent tech, especially if he had a cheaper fuel on the table and the numbers stacked up?

We will see and we should get strong clues in this quarter ;-)

Our industrial Mineral mining company may well want to run its plants on free renewable electricity
But its rotary kilns require a wet/chemical reaction only achieved by having a living flame inside the reactor/rotary dryer to convert the slurry along its length.

Quadrise is also working on a ‘Blend-on-Board’ solution for the production of MSAR or bioMSAR emulsions on vessels. This may be tested under the MSC agreement or with new marine clients that the company is approaching. Aquafuel in the UK has been carrying out tests using bioMSAR and other fuel/biofuel formulations for the Blend-on-Board solution. The results from this activity are expected in Q2 CY23.

But no mention of a commissioned 5t per hour MMU for such purpose.

No mention of a signed letter of Intent in C South America either. . . .

Two things are extremely interesting to me though in this interims update
1. When were we told about the new 5t per hour MMU for blend on board project and fuel supply for trials being delivered/tested in December 22?
We would very much need one of these for a 2650t per hour post Panamax container ship bob trial!

2. A recent Letter of Intent signed with a Central American client to progress a trial and leading to commercial supply discussions on successful completion?
Eh?!
Nothing in the January 23 business update which was frankly depressing, no RNS since then covering either?!
I’m getting in quite an excited lather here Rob!!

There is one other activity/project due to update in Q2 also which I’m very excited about
It is the RandD development with Vertoro Crude Sugar oil residue testing at Aquafuel.
Here is what Jason gave us in Interims:
Our RDI strategy is now focused on the delivery of a commercially viable net-zero 'bioMSAR Zero' solution by 2030. As part of this exercise, we continue to work with Vertoro and other strategic partners to investigate the use of crude sugar oils (CSO™) and associated waste biofuel products as an alternative water-based, lower cost, and abundant biofuel feedstock for bioMSAR™. This work has now successfully progressed to diesel engine testing at Aquafuel, with results expected early in Q2 2023.

I gather this is expected to add much perceived value in time for the expected cash raise!

When the market sees opportunity for value accretion closer to commercialisation then we will see price rises
A lot of us have been in far too long. But I’m sure that I’m not alone in only having added regularly what I could afford at the time. Sheltered in ISA’s of course.
It’s a big number though nonetheless and I am looking forwards to that morning, that RNS that signals the start of the end of our journey!

Well if we succeed in Morocco and get a Commercial contract, if we help Valkor successfully develop Uinta County oil and if MSC Lono completes or is close to completion then 2023 will be a great year for QED
But if all that happens, I’m waiting for 2024 when things will really take off!
MSC going commercial with just a few ships will be transformational for us and a sale surely won’t be long in the making when that happens

Google tells me that it costs $120,000 a day just to berth a container ship in port!
Costs of dry docking vary depending on works carried out but Google tells me that a large container ship costs $1.6-2.2m to dry dock!!
