I can’t believe we’ve had the opportunity to load up at 1.1p and it’s still only 1.6p after two excellent RNS’s and a veritably ecstatic JM interview!

With successful Morocco trial news and MSC fuel deal inked, we could easily see 10p

I came here on the back of the promise of the Maersk trial. We romped to 45p on the trial alone.

With the capacity in supply that CSO and BTG Bioliquids tie-ups imply. This can easily go past that all-time high sp with just a couple of MSC ships regularly bunkered.

Spoken after the parts imminently clearing customs comment. “We’ve given the client the signal that we are ready to recommence. The client is very supportive they very much want this trial to succeed as do we!”

Not much doubt in my mind that those comments make it clear that this trial will happen and customs won’t be an issue.

Leandra v was a total of 37 days in dry dock from 8th April to 15th May

We think she had a class inspection, scrubber fitted, Fit4Power engine upgrade and MSC paint job.( I can’t wait to see the first image uploaded to one of the vessel tracking sites of her in new livery! )

So if Bremerhaven gets similar treatment, she should be in dock a similar duration of time.

Bremerhaven might also get the fuel system changes she would need to handle one or both of the BioMSAR trial / Blend On Board trial?!

We were given to expect that there might be two vessels involved with MSC?

10p by September anyone?!

Would the fuel agreements be RNS’able?

If so we could be 3p this time next week Rodney!

Clearly there are new investors here on the back of the excellent BTG Bioliquids news.

So I should explain my hilarity in that last post,

MSC Leandra did dock on 8th April and remained in dry dock in Changxindao shipyard until 15th May

We discussed her planned incarceration at length and it was decided (caveat we don’t know anything that the company don’t expressly tell us) that she had had a class inspection, scrubber fit, MSC paint job and a retrofit engine improvement package called Wartsila Fit4Power specifically aimed at Panamax container ships of our target ships size and age, that will allow her to steam at optimum speed and efficiency because slow steaming doesn’t suit her cylinder capacity etc

Interesting that companies are aligning with ‘destination zero’ but telling that the here and now demand is more diesel!

But in my opinion (and these big companies are saying the same) zero in reality is a very long way off!

We can all do out bit and QED has a cracking opportunity in shipping to help the transition in the short to medium term. We have three fuel options that fill different segments (Environmental demand) and will be priced accordingly. We just need that fuel agreement and trial start eh?!

Why go directly back to Antwerp with only a 12.3m draft so nowhere near fully laden. Why not make lots of stops on the loop? She must have a prior engagement? 😉

I speculated a couple of weeks or so back that her sister ship MSC Bremerhaven might have a significant role to play, they were purchased together and we don’t know which ship of the class has the original Fit4Power pack fitted.

Well I kept an eye on her and today MSC Bremerhaven is headed from Singapore directly to Dalian with only an 11m draft. Due on 7th June.

Make of this what you will.

If our luck has run low and our cash runway is shortened then might it be just in time if our mahoosive shipping partners did just get a wriggle on and help us get these long overdue sea trials going. . .

Not me. I was replying to DoN’s excellent post on why Leandra might be considered to be still ‘under survey’ in sea trials as it were, still as part of her dry dock.

I’m sure that the DoN has access through the tapatalk forum to someone with open (unlocked) access to Marine vessels or similar vessel tracking site.

MSC: Interestingly, Leandra still shows as "under survey" and has not been issued classification society certificates yet. I imagine she will be visited by a classification society surveyor when she gets to Shanghai to formally close out the dry dock period? So may be one of those "technically..." things, i.e. her sea trials take her to Shanghai where she gets surveyed and reloaded.

She is off Ningbo having steamed a little way (10 hrs) past Shanghai. I’m with you on the assumption that she is getting a little bit more ‘running-in’ so quite possibly correct to state not yet fully out of dry-dock!

If it takes 46 days for the vessel to get to Western Europe after the Shanghai pick up, which is perfectly normal. We’re in H2!

I did say more in hope than any prediction. But I would seriously like an early delivery, for a change please QED!

She has been steaming for six hours or so now and I’d say she ain’t going back! Everything must have been rft.

My guess is back to the cargo loop starting with a big pick up in Shanghai.

As discussed previously I’m thinking that calibration of the scrubber and baseline data measurements of Fit4Power performance on HFO will be done on the loop back to EU.

Be nice if the POC were to commence from first EU visit but not knowing if a fuel supply arrangement is in place? It’s more hope than prediction!
