Another very important consideration is, it’s imperative that the (very) right T - cells are engaged for a treatment to have any effect ..

For instance stain tests like Elispot may well produce exciting results and show an ‘immune response’ but ... the response may be of low avidity T-cells which actually inhibit an effective immune response !!

As Scancell has been advertising for a while now .. their technology produces ultra high avidity T-cells ... exactly what you need to tip the balance against cancer ..

I found the article I posted earlier interesting for the following reasons ..

To progress from part A to part B they needed an ORR of just 10% !

The pd-l1 / ctla4 (both checkpoint inhibitors) trial failed to achieve this .. in fact the results if you read on are testament just how nasty ‘cold’ tumour cancers are and how difficult they are proving to treat!

Turning cold tumours hot is firmly on the agenda and as I’ve said before .. inhibitor / inhibitor combos out there will continue to see poor results in ‘cold tumour’ trials ... someone needs to step on the accelerator!!

Turning cancer treatment into an exact science is happening ... but I imagine it takes quite a bit of effort to pursuade an industry reliant on harmful, expensive profit rich, hit and hope treatments !?

After all it turned out Edward Jenner was onto something after the establishment branded him a madman !! Lol ..

Scancells ‘slow and steady’ progress certainly lowers the risks of ‘stalls’ along the way in my opinion !

What drives the feeling of frustration ? Not being rich yet? Or that more patients arnt benefiting from scancells cutting edge science ? Or a bit of both ??

The bottom line is Scancell is still trying .. however through an era of some headline catching Cancer Vaccine failures, VCT rules issues, device malfunction (1) and Institutional investor woes .. it’s not been easy !

However, conversely, they have moved their own science forward and impressively attracted the attention of some of the top cancer immunologists on the planet ! (And associated organisations) ..

Impatient ? Me? ... nah ... I’m relaxed about my investment and should another sub 4p opportunity arise .. I’ll be taking it !

Scancell will not be selling everything for nothing ... (in my opinion!) ..
