My point is that funding s'sorted' in that the big minority shareholder will not less this fold. The danger is that he takes it private. 32p plus a 50% premium would be a good buy for him-a lousy deal for us-given the medium term potential.

positive news flow about pipeline. I am sure that in any buyout the senior execs share options would be somehow after-but we would not be. We would get some @ above the current sp-unless big pharma upped the ante. We are talking up to £50m to get to the line-our current market cap is £38m. I hope that it all works out-but am pessimistic that we will get our money back.

Let me be clear-I consider that there is a reasonable potential for the major product to be a blockbuster. The issue is not their pipeline it is their CASH position. As Chris points out, they run out very soon-and even if they scale back they run out in a year. The danger is we run out of runway and are forced to accept a low price either from our existing large minority shareholder or a pharma. Why should they pay in pounds per share when the sp is in low pence territory? My hope is that we get a big chunk of non dilutive government funding. Any short term buy out without this will be bad news .

Forget stuff like is up in the US overnight and all the rest of that sort of noise-our minority share holder is not going to let this run out of cash-what will he want in return is the issue-it may not be great for long term shareholders.

The last thing we want right now is a buy out-what would we get-40p/50p ish. Maybe a tad more. If we are to hit the giddy heights of a few pounds we need to be much higher-that may come from great news flow on products and also crucially, finance.

It depends on your perspective. I go back along way-average around £1.50. This may well go to 40-50p. BUT-the money runs out soon. Do you really think that the big shareholder is going to let share the eventual proceeds of a blockbuster(s) drug(s). We need big news shortly to drive the price much higher-but what could this be?Of course those in at sub 20p will make a nice return-but I don't think that they will be in for a share of £1bn plus market cap.That's all.

Where is the money coming from to finance remainder of phase 3-what dilutive effect will it have?

How can this share price move until long term finance sorted out? They run out of cash in a few months time. What is to prevent the 49% holder buy this for a few % points over the prevailing share price? Clearly, no big pharma was interested. Been here for years-not much faith in CEO-interested to see CFO left-despite been given a shed load of share options at around current share price levels.

Appreciate PharmaGiles contribution. We have been told cash runs out September 2019. Assuming PG is correct then trial cannot start Q1 without more cash-a lot of cash. CEO and tis top men been loaded up with options at 29.5p. If buy out is at £1 then CEO get gross more than £1.5m-not a lot compared to what would have happened if DMD had worked -but it did not-but still a nice little short term earner. The alternative is probably for them to run out of money and for the administrators to sell on-cannot see how they could raise the funds via a massive share issue diluted below 20p per share.

So could be nice entry point IF buy out-otherwise potentially lose all your money-like me!

Do they run out towards the end on next year? I read it that they do-but stand to be corrected. At a market cap of circa £29m a fund raise would be hugely dilutive. Still think that a t/o is likely IF big pharma likes the look of the pipeline. Not going to look at this again until end of 2018. £1.33 per share would be great-but really??

Agree. See my earlier post. What is happening to DMD pipeline? CEO is going to spend next 2 years going from conference to conference clocking up 'corporate objectives'-and getting 100% cash bonuses and, no doubt, getting a shed load more share options.

If what happened with the DMD drug casts massive doubts on the DMD pipeline being developed and which Summit has a commercial interest in-then spell it out.

I do not consider this 'fresh start' to be laudable-it has echoes of Orewell's 1984. Summit still have an interest in the DMD 'upgrades' which were briefly mentioned in the telephone conference following the failure. The CEO indicated that there would be an update to come. Since then-nothing. It is insulting to the shareholders and more importantly disrespectful to the DMD community. Is this approach to DMD dead in the water? If so-tell us why-with much more detail. If not (or maybe) but Summit no longer interested then announce that it is prepared to forsake it's interests in the DMD pipeline to some other organisation that may be prepared to run with it. <br /><br />A fresh logo-reminds me of when I was an investment analyst talking to an insurance company about how its small under performing general insurance business was detracting from it's more solid and larger life and pensions business and was told I was neglecting to place sufficient emphasis on it's new logo-the company was not independent very much longer!

Not having a go. I have been in shares which have disappointed and where I have been concerned about the management. However, been around long enough to know that we are not going to get a running commentary on negotiations. Start up pharm.'s and miners are well known as speculative ventures often led by technicians who are not the best at finance. However, getting the right one can be very rewarding. This could be VAL-but patience is required.

We will be told there is a deal when there is a deal. My free advice to tozerk et al is if you cannot cope with that is to cut and run-you will feel better and so will the rest of us.

Chris-yes-but we have lost an 'imminent' potential blockbuster and the substitute is 3/4/5 (you tell me) years down the road before the cash registers ring. The CEO going to conferences all over the shop being enthusiastic cannot disguise this harsh reality. Summit may well be a buy at these prices but I am not tempted to average down yet. I think that if they do have groundbreaking drugs then big pharma will pounce at this market cap. If they do not, personally I will wonder why they have not. Clearly a lot could be taken out of the operating expenses if there is a t/o-upwards of £500k per annum for CEO for starters, plus CFO, plus comms director etc etc

Attended AGM-they were fairly open at answering questions. They will be in contact with interested parties, analysing further the data and in contact with Regulators. This takes time and we are in the holiday season. I do not expect anything until October ish.

Of course you can de-ramp a share when it's down-get it down further if you have some confidence. Going on and on and on will not get the BOD to do anything. Writing to them for information would stand a better chance of finding out what is going on.

They are not going to give us an update on negotiations-who does that? I am disappointed to to have seen an RNS re 401 in July. Have written asking what is happening.
