Dallo - good point re Dr Reilly and the connection with Royalty Pharma. He also has 2m options in IMM so would be a nice earner if he can help them progress. Re TM - I agree, TM is more on the business side than the science side, and despite setbacks over the years he has kept the story going through partnerships and cost cutting. I’m afraid there are people who are always onlu going to credit themselves when things go well (and point the finger elsewhere when things aren’ so good). Just thankful these pretenders aren’t managing the company or my investments. ATB

Hi maestro. We are awaiting report of trial design and should then have a better idea. Please see RNS from December 2023. Finalising the protocols for a trial is a lengthy process, but hopefully simbec are a material way through it now.

The thing is jenforluck, like lollywally you have told us recently that you are a shareholder. So the point is you DONT disagree with wildbunch - you think the shares are going up or you wouldn’t continue to hold. So the sad thing is that just like lollywally, your comments are all posturing and commentating - you talk negatively but continue to hold. Or did you sell recently and lock in the loss? Go on - commit to a decision for a change and tell us what you are doing with your shares?

Morri940 - you are right to point out that the phase 3 nature of the asset should provide a big positive kicker in the event p140 progresses, especially from this valuation. These are the key things that set immupharma apart from most comparable investments. In the event we do see progress, no news has indeed been good news for buyers. Because the asset will have developed and the investor has been able to accumulate at a lower price. ATB

Thanks leas, that is a good answer. I guess two responses 1) there is a precedent here for long silence prior to trial finalisation (see previous ph3). It is a process that appears to take time and does not encourage regular updating. It was also the case that patients were being dosed just a few months after the update was posted. 2) if it wasn’t for the silence - and patience required - I don’t think the opportunity to buy at these levels would exist. My own view is it could turn on a sixpence down or up. But you can’t lose more than 100%! I suspect if it rises it will recover many times that amount in short order. ATB

It is certainly their words, leas. And there haven’t been any deals announced. But I’m not sure what point is being made. The key question is are deals going to arrive later than planned or not at all, and at this level of valuation is it a risk worth taking? With no disrespect intended, I’m not hearing many answers (just a lot of finger pointing from the usual suspects). My own view is that timescales in this industry are notoriously unpredictable and management are as buffeted by this as anyone else - but great things can arrive suddenly (or not arrive at all.) Given the late stage nature of the assets, fda and cnrs involvement, low cash requirement, tiny valuation, it remains very interesting risk/reward and I continue to hold. What do you think?

We all know you can’t make a decision, lollywally. In or out? One gets a rather hollow feeling about people who criticise the management actions of others, while being entirely incapable of committing to a decision themselves. Happy new year all :)

30%+ return for Marston holders over the course of the year, and ending near the annual highs. Wonderful performance for investors of all description. Spare a thought at this difficult time for the marston bears though, some even thought MAB was a better option (-4% ytd). The market can be so objective and cruel sometimes. HNY! :)

Thanks Dallo. So Crowe are a highly regarded auditing firm. That IS interesting, ISn’t it?… When are the cynics going to demonstrate their own managerial nous, and actually call a decision here? The company has FDA permission to run two trials in blockbuster indications. That’s a pretty good track record for a tiny uk based biotech. The market doesn’t currently value that highly, but perhaps one day it will. Notable that it’s the same whingers that complain about management here week in week out, that appear entirely incapable of committing to a decision about the shares themselves. Risk/reward here still looks good to me. GLA

The word “huge” is not helpful. It is emotive. The company is targeting £300m op profit on circa 8% margin medium term. I haven’t seen any reliable estimates relating to the cost of the wage changes, but reading here I would guess £10m is ball park consensus. So we are talking c3-4% of normalised op profit, and this is prior to the offsetting price increases.Perspective. ATB
