“The all out spat between SN and ZM is pretty astonishing even for FRR standards, and one I could not have predicted in my wildest dreams. Many know that I could not attend the many Shareholder meetings in London as I was based in the UAE but Nevertheless we had some wise owls attend and the feedback on Zaza was positive. Plus he made a lot of effort with podcasts, promoting the company and came cross as a competent, focused CEO. Plus he was a very hard working but clearly people skills were a little lacking, as he seemed to have clashed with a few in the Company such as Dustin & BoD.
Anyway, this public legal battle between FRR’s two largest protagonist does perversely demonstrate something: 1) the asset in Georgia and Moldova are big and worth fighting for otherwise why throw mud at each for a company that is defunct? Remember that the accusations against each other is of wrongdoing and mismanagement so professional reputations are at stake. 2) everything seems above board given all the legal ‘covering your ass’ actions taken. 3) shares bought by Zaza especially during the Primarybid exercises were legitimate (I think in one fundraising, he coughed up £1m). If that is the case, you can’t blame Zaza for trying to protect his large investment.
For now, this company has become ‘lawyers paradise’ with multiple legal cases: the fiduciary case in California, the legal cases with OMF in Texas to liquidate the personal g’tees of Zaza and SN, the Bankruptcy case in NY, the YA case for unpaid loan and numerous others relating to unpaid lawyers and other vendors.
After 2 years of sitting on the sidelines, I really don’t know where this rabbit hole will take us but there may be some green shoots of optimism with talk of restructuring the company. Perhaps Hope has aligned withSN because he feels it better to retrieve some value rather than trying to take the whole company. Or is that now Zaza masterplan, to take over FRR for himself?
Regards to the usual suspects here and best of fortune to all FRR Shareholders.”
