A bit harsh tmhsdx6! All of our nerves are wearing a bit thin at the moment. I for one am praying for good news (and hopefully before the election).
Regarding the deletion of Earsbern’s posts (or at least those that concerned the election), I was wondering whether it might be our guardian-angel types, trying to prevent this board becoming too anti-GD and wrecking any chances of a deal. Starrage’s attempts to get this BB to release the contents of the arb decision highlighted to me that this board is being read by other parties. We also had J.J.Carter’s post about Zaza’s sacking, even before it was known from the court docs. It may simply be our friendly protagonists not wanting us to gloat too much, or **** off the GD party too much before deals have been made and contracts have been signed. Just a thought ...

2 or 3 million dollars?

It would be nice to have some time-lines re a possible deal. Are we expecting something this week, this month etc?

I’m still hopeful EkXoc. More news still to come here, and personally I think it will be good.

My thoughts on how they might avoid paying a huge sum to Hope is that one company “ours” pays a special dividend, then all shareholders are moved into the new restructured company. It is into this new company that Hope would then be granted shares, having “unfortunately” missed out out on the dividend! Wishful thinking?

So we’ve handed a bigger percentage of the asset back to the Georgians in exchange for the deal of the century.....

Do you any idea of timescale?

Craig - we delisted nearly two years ago, and are presently involved in several court cases in the US. We were involved in an arbitration dispute in Georgia which we may or may not have lost (we are yet to officially see the final report). We have returned to the Georgians a large percentage of the block where we were allowed to search for oil and gas, but we believe that we have retained all areas which have been proven to have oil/gas. The Georgians have their national elections in less than 3 weeks which or may not lead to a new Government. We have also been led to believe that we are presently trying to negotiate a deal with numerous parties which may yet see a return on your investment , but again, we just don’t know.
Fingers crossed for us all.

Time for some FRR news me thinks....
Surely they are still talking and a deal is imminent.

Agreed that for all us dreamers still out there, Regdik’s post was indeed a great read.
Regarding potential creditors jumping in to make sure their claims are registered before the big reveal, there is clearly a binary choice, but not one with equal likelihood of each occurring. We will all have our own thoughts on the probability of a deal being struck versus the probability of a winding up order. I note however that Baker Hughes did a lot of work for FRR on a credit type basis and as yet, I’ve not seen their hat being thrown into the ring. Perhaps they know something we don’t.....

Fair enough ODR. On re-reading your last post I noticed the genuine concern for our present plight in your voice. I too am looking for a sign, but atm would be happy to take on from JJCarter, B-2-0 etc. Even better however if it came from the company by way of an RNS!
