All so quiet at the moment. Surely this must mean something. I cannot believe that Zaza would be this quiet if talks were not taking place in the background.

I just think something is happening behind the scenes. Neither side is talking.... something is keeping them quiet. Fingers crossed.

When there’s no posts by Looed overnight things really have gone quiet! Hopefully it’s a sign that negotiations are still taking place. I understand all the emphasis on regime change by a number of posters on this BB, and it may well turn out be our best hope of success, but personally I just want a deal to be struck as soon as possible between the Georgians and Zaza that allows all of us to walk away from this with our heads held high and some money in our back pocket. I hope Zaza’s political ambitions don’t get in the way of that goal.

Gipps51 is right - this quiet period seems at leat to be good news. Hopefully all sides are presently sat round a table negotiating the deal of the century.
And in that note, did anyone see the news if BP building-up their war chest once again this morning....I wonder if they have other plans for that money?

It seems that today has been a quiet day in Georgia. After all the bluster, quiet is good: perhaps they really have started talking and things are moving towards a deal. I certainly hope so. Good luck all.

Voting like this seems a bit daft. Money was donated to the cause with the the belief that you, Zib, Puddy et al were sufficiently well-versed in these matters to make these decisions on our behalf. All organisations need a small team ready and able to make these types of important calls. Once these calls are made, the translations should be posted on here, warts and all. No need to vote.

I'm thinking/hoping on the same lines as you, that the present silence may just be an indicator of negotiations in the background and the possibility of a deal being struck sometime soon. Quite how the publication on LSE of all the recent docs fit into this I just don't know. I'm tempted to think that some of them may be the work of some malevolent force, perhaps the shorters who are desperate for a chance of a deal to fade and collapse, and who are therefore trying to sow the seeds of discord wherever and whenever they can.
Earsbern was right to suggest earlier today that FRR are far from dead. The negotiations may all collapse to nothing and our only remaining hope then would leave us reliant on the GD party losing the forthcoming election. With a little bit of luck however, it may be that the mega-deal, of which we have all dreamed for so long, is on the verge of finally being announced. GLA

Patience guys - if things work out, Bigun2 may well be close to the mark. And if it does go pear-shaped, well so be it. There's nothing we can do, but sit and wait and watch from the sidelines. Bigger players are presently deciding our fortunes.
