I think you’re probably right to say that most people looking at Vast right now are expecting some sort of delay on the diamonds. So it’s pretty much priced in. Sure it might go down a bit early doors, but probably not by much and will probably bounce back within a couple of days. Traders will try to make a quick profit but it will be slender pickings. The real money will come here from Romania, not Zimbabwe. Diamonds when they come will simply be the icing on the cake.

Maybe Bedex, maybe. I was just wondering however whether the market collapse was a good or a bad thing regarding a possible deal with a SM. On the one hand, it's bad. They are likely to want to hold on to their cash, just in case. Bare in mind however that BP have already sold a lot of assets and having divested, are cash heavy. If the deal was to transfer Block 12 for cash and a set number of shares, those shares are now worth a lot less. Perhaps it makes a deal much more likely: BP might be getting block 12 now for a whole lot less money....

The lack of news from other sources suggests to me that it isn't all over. There would be a lot of people gloating on ADVFN etc, because the news would have been slipped out to people who would very much enjoy and publicy celebrate our demise. But what do I know?
So to my mind, it's either another temporary glitch, like last time (I doubt it) or some news is indeed about to break. And personally I think that the news will either be neutral for us all (ie we will eventually get something back) or potentially very good indeed for us all. So on Flakey5185's scale of possible outcomes, I think # 1, #2 and #3 are possible but I'm thinking and hoping that #4 is not.

I agree - needed to say that all was still on track in Romania, regardless of the CV, and that’s what we got. Should keep prices stable today, unlike the rest of the wider market.

Just wondering/hoping that the covid19 crisis might make people more like to seek a compromise regarding block 12....It might put things in perspective.

Thanks Madpunter and Zib. I’m thinking/hoping that this is indeed a sea-change in mentality from the GG: a realisation that they had to play by the rules. As long as the arb goes fairly well and we get something out of it, then I think the GG will abide by it.

What’s your view on all this activity Madpunter? Do you we have a deal as well? Or do you think the arbitration is still key?

Hopefully FRR aren’t the sacrificial pawn in the wider politics of keeping Georgia onside. GLA

I’m a relative newbie afraid (only 2 years), so I can’t really account for historical reasons for FRR not hitting the big time before I started investing. Just hoping it manages to get across the line this time...

Looks the same to me on the phone, but the PC version may have changed. I’ll have a look when I get home. I check the mobile phone version of the website most days, but more in hope than in expectation.

It’s gone understandably very quiet, with nothing new to say that’s not already been said. I can’t see this ending until the big news eventually arrives.
I shall continue to pop in to have a read of others’ thoughts, but in the expectation of nothing new, save for the odd article dug up by Bugsy, Loued and others. GLA
