Thanks Looed and Jiff. Not sure where we would get $6m if Georgia goes tits up, but it is something! And if the US pressure and/or the arbitration goes well, we’ll then have a bit of cash to move on to as a company, meaning that the shares themselves would still retain value even after a special dividend etc.

I agree with many that Shatner called it wrong with the 2nd now infamous “Game Over” comment. No change from where we were before, other than we’ve moved further down the road in NY. Fingers crossed it’s the beginning of the end. I suspect it was a genuine error from Shatner, which I’m hoping we will all be able to laugh about at the mega-bucks party in the summer. GLA. Interesting times...

I suspect that GOGC thought that FRR would be unable to afford any of the inevitable legal fees and that the Arbitration would be an easy win for them that reason. And yet FRR keep fighting....

Arbitration is meant of course to be independent. I wonder if this is a warning to the Georgian government to accept the outcome of the arbitration when it comes...

Re-reading the FRR archive just now made me realise how much time Madpunter has spent on it and useful it is as a record of what has been posted here. Many thanks MP.
PS I still like B-2-0's most recent post. I hope he gets in contact again soon.

A reminder that if Mp, B-2-0 and others are right, none of this matters. Arbitration is the key. If it's gone well, the rest is just noise...

B12 split, FRR Western to hold all currently proven assets, Eastern to be returned to GOGC (Basin edge, shallow fields). FRR Western jointly owned by FRR/GOGC, however, FRR transferred holding to investor (BP as part of deal. 2020 the alliance is initiated).

I can’t see any changes to the cv link that was posted by pophead on Nov 3rd, unless of course the link itself now links to a changed document.

So what’s everyone’s view of BP seemingly building up a massive treasure trove of cash. Are they about to announce a big investment in Georgia perhaps? Are we about to strike gold? Or do we think it’s just a coincidence?

It's all interesting reading the posts at different times of the day. During any day, particularly in the morning, the posters tend to be really pessimistic; whereas during the evening they have tended to be a bit more optimistic (other than the obvious derampers who bit by bit have been added to my filter list).
MPs logic, B-2-0's post, and the optimism of several posters have kept up my spirits throughout, and despite the post from earlier today about FRR and the Ukraine (which really was just an re-hash of old news), I'm still on the positive side of things. Time will tell who is right. GLA

Whoops - just remembered that Keegan was a manager at the time of his famous outburst. As a player he was rather more successful!

If we are in playing the “which captain would we prefer” game, then I’ll say no to Kevin Keegan (who won nothing) and yes please to Mike Brearley who had the strategic wherewithal to ensure victory in 1981.

I wouldn't mind, but none of what was posted 2nd time was contentious (or for that matter worthy of the next Nobel prize for literature). Just now want to see if if it disappears again - if it does, I'll just have to concede defeat and move on!
