RE: Very poor performance by directors10 Aug 2025 10:08
HighF1 , when I reflect back into 2020 , I was extremely naive, trusting and inexperienced with investing in AIM. I had no clue at the time that AIM was actually a gambling place and you had CEOs that are corrupt and will manipulate the market to their benefit. So , what happened in October 2020 , was Novacyt win a big contract from UK GOV which involved 2 phases and was worth £500m - £750m . Graham Mullis was very media friendly and relasing lots of positive RNSs. Graham Mullis gave an interview that Novacyt were ambitious, develop further and into a mid cap organisation. I was basically impressed and invested an initial amount of £250K and kept adding more . The investment in Novacyt was destroyed when Mullis informed the market in April 2021 that DHSC was in dispute and then the SP crashed. I averaged down over the next 18 months and ended up investing a staggering amount of £660K just to bring my average down. But the SP kept on dropping every year due to poor directors business performance, cash dwindling and no major contracts won.
I wish to God I never set eyes on this share at all. I have never invested in any share other than Novacyt. Its only now I realise that there are professional AIM investors like Kaeren ( who has dissapeared from here and very active elsewhere) , KilkennyTed, Larry , Brentw1 who are people that know the market well as they have time to research and spend all day on AIM . I am not a professional trader or someone who gambles on AIM. I simply invested with good intentions that this company was going to be massive and my money would make me a profit. AIM is for profession investors who basically are on AIM all day long trying to spot where they can make money...... I am a full time medical doctor , i don't have time to do what these people do.
