I SM agree you do not ' have to justify yourself' , however if you post statements on a BB, which do not appear to co-incide with known facts, you must expect question to be raised. You can avoided inquisitive people by not posting, IMO.

We've been in 3 years and ' lost' money with the Newmont walk away, but it was only on paper. So if SM sold she MAY have lost money however, dependent on the size of the investment, it would have been very little. IF she sold then she obviously had little faith in her investment, and more likely to have been, and possibly still is, a trader. We have pushed our average up to .92p in recent times, so if she /he has lost, IMO, it is most likely through trading. GLA.

Wouldn't say wrong, just that figures can be manipulated to look favourable or unfavourable. The maths that interest us are that when we first bought in, 3 years ago, Ukog had around 3/4b shares and owned around 33% of the Weald. It now has 8b shares but owns 86%. One of my early posts, after they bought out Warwick energy, was to suggest that SS might be intent on bring the whole of the Weald under one roof. I am seldom right, but look back and feel ever so slightly smug; Then I look at the share price and lose that feeling, albeit only temporarily. Still confident, with growing frustration rather than impatience. Still looks good IMO.

And BTB, just watched the youngsters beat Everton 3-2 away. A couple of tasty players in the team. Just popped in for a last look. What a brilliant suprise, should get my 500% p margin back. Got my first sale set at 13.5p, for amusement, now think I might just up it, just for amusement of course, and to keep the wife in hand. GLA

Skwizz, I'm not so sure he withdrew the remark, but tried to deny he'd said it, either as he'd forgotten he'd said it, improbable, or believed he was off camera when he said it. IMO his denial was for the latter reason as he did not wish to be seen as over enthusiastic and misleading. I have always accepted the statement to have been based on the known facts at the time therefore, approximately, correct. What has yet to be revealed is the % of oil they expect to be recoverable. Given the facts that
a). The world will always need oil, and
b). Technology will improve with the years
I have, rightly or wrongly, GUESSED at around 15% as a starting point.
That is my personal opinion and we are around 80% down, therefore...........

Whatwhat, nobody disputes the fact that we all have a right to an opinion, what we query is the manner in which that opinion is expressed, the reasoning behind it, añd the language used in it's expression. IMO.

A few years ago my daughter, as part of her uni course, had to spend a year teaching at a German school (Karlsruhe). My wife and I drove there to pick her up from a farewell party. Chatting to the HM I advised him of the standard joke in GBthat they see the Germans as early risers to book the best, and occasionally all, sunbeds around hotel pools. ' Of course,' he replied, ' we have to get up early to beat the brits'.
P.S. Not an investor here, a bit too volatile for me, although have been tempted, but read the BB regularly. One of, if not, the friendliest. GLA glen always seems to recover.

Ukog has more than it's fair share of moaners who, to me, must have the perfect lives where nothing ever goes wrong. On the assumption you are invested, not merely enjoying the uncomfortable situation some of us find ourselves in, ask yourselves what has changed from the day you decided to part with the lucre and invest. Answer, nothing. The oil is still there. All that has changed is that it proving more difficult extracting it that we or the company's management acticipated. Determining good management is by how they react to those unanticipated, or even anticipated, problems that arise. Personally, as a complete ignoramus as to the working of oil wells, present management appear to be reacting perfectly normally to the problems as they arise. IF, they had listed ALL the problems that might arise and had the appropriate machinery standing by, the costs would have been horrendous with the moaners out in force demanding to know why. There is nobody more frustrated than us, I act for my foreign based daughter, but that's life, just get on with it; if moaning does you good, moan, just keep to yourself. IMO. GLA.

I can't see any reason for this going down over the next few weeks but can see plenty of reasons for it to continue rising as the news will be about the additional spread of the gold field.

Rich, we're over£32k down, agree 'live can be a *****'. If it will help your mood, sue the 'idiot' who forced you to buy into UKOG. My wife gives him a good kicking every day, but I take it and point out that there's an awful lot of oil down there and, one way or another, sooner or later, 'they' will get it out. Hughesy, Bit grumpy. Just recovering from pneumonia and SXX. Hope your in GGP as, if like self, it's covering all my paper losses here. Don't post much, but read everything. Hope you are in good health and humour, if your not in GGP it may be worth having a look. Not a pump. Still buy a few here now and again as I retain (rather stretched) faith, though many of the old posters seem to have fallen by the wayside, unsurprisingly. I am either too lazy, too stupid, over trusting in SS, or in too deep. Anyway I've narrowed it down to either being seriously right or seriously wrong.
