RE: Ukog26 Apr 2020 20:17
Clarry is looking at the evidence; that is a turnaround. Let's examine aforesaid.
1). There is oil in and around the Weald;
2). There is also oil In and around the IOW;
3). Profitable extraction of said oil would be
(a). of great benefit to the company's shareholders, and
(b). of great benefit to the country.
N.B. due to the present situation re. virus and lockdown, a reduction in imports i.e. oil and anything derived from it we can produce from our own supplies has become of even greater importance to the survival of the economy.
I cannot believe there can be any disagreement so far, even the tree huggers will be concerned for their hard earned benefits. So we move on to
(4). That the amount of oil available for extraction is undetermined , and
(5). It's extraction in quantities is, so far, proving more difficult than first thought and expected,
(6). It is likely that along the way, because they are human, SS and his crew have made mistakes. However, as they are far more intelligent than the majority of us, those mistakes will possibly prove beneficial in the long term and unlikely to re- occur.
In summary,
the success of UKOG, ANGUS, UJO, HUR, etc has become vital to us all, including the nimbys et Al, and we should all be willing the above to succeed anyway they can, which it not helped, although it makes little if any difference except annoying the true blues, by the whining bar stewards stood on the sidelines.
IMO (and it'ain't humble). FFTFF (feel free to find fault).
