TmyT, lawyers are not my favourite people, having spent 15 years attempting to sue them for negligence, resulting in a complete loss of everything (I was going ito say 100% loss). After around 8 years, 5 solicitors and 3 barristers, I took on the matter myself. Within 2 months I had an offer of £30k, which indicated in acceptance of guilt TMM, but a fraction of the damage suffered. Back to lawyers who stated they could understand why I had kept fighting as it was a clear case. When they spent my £30k they advised I did not have a case. I even had a barrister at one point who did not understand VAT, which as it involved a vat fraud which I had researched then proved, and a solicitor whose first words were ' Mr....... You are a f.....g prat'. My last barrister was very aptly named Stitcher. Mental health is also a subject I choose to avoid.
The other question, of your 40%, the formula is [(y2-y1)/y1]x100= % change. This formula I just pulled out of the back of my internet. I expect this will leave you as 100% confused as me. The article explains (1). that if the start is zero then the formula is rendered meaningless;. (2). Describing the increase as 100% is sensible whereas the description of infinity is not. Mud would appear to be an excellent word to use in describing clarity. I havev let my coffee go cold, you owe me. Stay Safe.
