Craigieboy completely agree it is impossible to guess the timing. Who guessed the Orion deal timing? Well somebody did because the price rose a bit just before but that's markets for you :-)

I'm pretty relaxed with it all I've moved maximum £20-25k around the place but this was always intended at a trading pot the intention if I could was always to end it in Horizonte which is where it now is. I'm looking for a few spare funds to maybe double that pot and buy in - anything sub 2.5p right now would do me very nicely for a long term hold.

I would maybe review if we got financed whether to take any out but it would be max 25-50k so guessing less than a million shares. Hoping to hold 20m into production.

Been wondering about Brazil and Covid. It is a HUGE country and presumably the virus will hit different parts in different ways and at different times. My Brazil geography is shocking but I'm assuming that as we're out in the sticks, it should be possible to progress in a fairly safe manner with works as and when financing lands. I might be underestimating the challenge however as it is of course a developing country.

Early bird agree. I think part of the 'stagnation' if we can call it that on the SP after the March falls is - unsupportive macro, PIs chasing other opportunities and the market is pretty much pricing out any imminent news. Is it right? We will see. The yearend report confirmed plenty of cash, but I think it will take positive macro (which lets face it, is going to be a very gradual improvement at best) but much more likely company news to shift this north.

Not complaining or being impatient, as I want to buy more in any case, if I can. But if I can't, and we jump, that's not a problem either.

As close as I can get to 2p I will be very happy to take! TBH current price is a bargain.

Indeed. I'm hoping (sorry those invested) slight further drops as I have more funds coming through to do just that....

50p strong support last week
60p looks intact so far today. If it holds could be the new base pre-news. News would then surely send us north. I like that we keep testing it and it keeps holding. Strong buying at or under 60p?

The hedge fund is kind of saying stuff that is pretty obvious really. Oil is yesterday (and currently totally hosed). I know PIs like to play small cap oilies and nothing wrong with that but it was never really my bag.

Longer term I think it is of strategic benefit to Horizonte and small/mid cap explorers/producers of commodities that the majors may switch even more attention to the base metals sector. I guess that's why many are invested here. It can only help having already two majors on the register (Teck+Glencore), one person from a major on the Horizonte board (Teck), and mines right in the backyard of a third (Vale). Lets get that finance sorted then the bidding war can start.

That's me back from chasing rainbows, trading pot fully back in Horizonte in runup to agm. Just under £20k added back in today in 2 transactions. Still looking for new funds maybe next week, fresh money.

Craigieboy I think what is most impressive about your story (apart from the overall holding which is impressive enough!) is I think you must have done a lot of your 1.5p buys pre DFS. That means at various times you've been £100's k in profit and chosen not to sell, keeping the end goal in mind. I think that is really impressive I don't think many people would have had that kind of patience over 6 year timeframe. But I think unless people are real lucky, really really big bucks are made over long timeframes and with patience so I think your strategy is great. I really hope it works out for you and I genuinely mean that and not just because my interest is aligned with yours.

I've been here for 2 years only, at times I've seen decent paper profit but like you, I think the big payday is production (or sale) and that's what I'm in for. It might be 2 more years wait or it might be 3 or it might be 5 it doesn't really matter. Nickel will be solid mid decade and at my age and circumstances it will be just fine to get the returns then.

Finance is a key derisking step and I would prefer to be in paper profit. I think when we have finance complete everyone whatever their average (even djryan at 4.8p!) will be sitting in paper profit and can make decisions from that point onwards. Like others I am hoping the board give us a sniff that finance is on the way even if they can't confirm the big news yet. But not too soon - as I still have a few more £££ I want to position here. GLA and keep the faith.

joey - FWIW I don't see competitor tech to EV as a risk to Horizonte. Why? I think both mines will end up Ferro. And stainless steel demand is here to say and set to rise, pretty much forever. If other tech replaces batteries then so be it there will be less EV demand for nickel but still plenty for ferro and being bottom quartile on cost is the place to be.

Also and for the time being Vermelho isn't really in the equation. This company is all about Araguaia, for the next 1-2-3 years anyway.

I guess then the question is whether it's underwater on SP or £££. I don't check the paper loss but on 20m shares it's pretty huge. I'll check it when I'm forced to sell and not before! I have a nice spreadsheet which tells me what it'll be worth at 30p though. Check that frequently. Mentally I've spent the money many times. :-)

Good stuff Ivor. Do you have a target price to buy?
I am thinking of adding but it depends more on how other things go - business and the like outside stocks. Maybe up to another £50k. I'm pretty positive about Horizonte still but I tend to mis-time the bulk buys. I might buy 2.5p then it drops to 1.8p etc. My big Feb buying if I could have delayed to March/April I would have been adding twice as many shares.

I think someone posted on the directors averages/holdings a few months ago but I don't remember them.

I know Craigieboy posted a larger total holding but not sure his average. Most underwater is Glencore I think. They bought 10p+ and have a fairly chunky holding :-)
