Mazza - tend to agree, I feel the majority of the deals are all but done so it is just a case of ordering the news release and lining up the ducks as it were.

If they were indeed waiting for sellers to clear then the buyers who got in in the last few months have played a blinder (and those who topped up) and also give the BOD their dues not releasing more news into the selling - i.e. if JPM want to leave, don't let them leave at a premium. Let them take their loss from not having the patience to wait this out. Lets get some stickier holders onboard.

I think as DJ says, we should have been a lot higher a lot earlier (probably after Orion news) but constantly having at least 1 II seller, then covid, has drawn out the party. Never mind, we all topped up and continue to top up and add to holdings....

achilles - I'm invested (in ACP) in a much smaller way and I feel it does represent a good opportunity, the reason I don't own more is:
- Much less well researched
- Generally I understand Africa much less well so for me (personally only because of lack of knowledge) jurisdictional risk is higher
- Graphite is a less liquid market so a bit less transparency to me as to what things are worth

But I have a modest stake and lets see what happens and as you say - complements the EV story nicely. If I knew more about it I'd probably invest more but Horizonte is my main play for the next few years at least.

Good luck Vauxhall. I have three friends targeting around 1m shares to hold and we figured a very nice return is possible from there, either at sale or dividend yield in years to come. Hope you get there!

Two things which is pretty exciting prospect from the recent interviews (unless I remember this wrong - don't have time to check now). I'm sure JM said:
- 'Tier 1' offtakers. I don't know exactly what that means or who it could be but I really like the fact that Tier 1 mines would attract Tier 1 offtakers. Hopefully it means: a. the entity is big and b. the deal to supply is big. Having a ready packaged customer can only aid the final piece of the financing when it happens.
- 'New names' - I'm not sure if this is in the context of equity but it suggests there are new funds or even (dare I hope it) miners interested. Imagine, say, Vale being added to the shareholders list at this stage! I really hope they were approached. Of course it would probably have had to be cleared with Glencore & Teck.

Either way I think a. the customers and b. the equity partners will shed a lot more light on the future of this company. And only a few months to find out. Happy days.

I obviously only ramp 1 share so my across the board ramping rating is pretty low. A bit of a 'ramping specialist' you might say. Heavy specialism being ramping Horizonte.

Never mind. Believe in the BOD (I've met the FD personally, not met the others but hear pretty good reports), the assets etc. Sleep easy on this one, especially now I'm in profit!

I'm the second most rampy poster (after DJ) apparently. That might be true but it is because I'm genuinely enthusiastic about the stock and heavily invested. I can't think I can make a difference to the price, not the one that counts anyway - the price in 2023-25!

Nthoftheriver - indeed I forgot! They like to sell 3.4p (JPM) and buy 10p. Can't figure it out but true... it would be crackers if JPM were back in on the financing round but stranger things have happened.

Seriously I'm trying to figure if my brother in law can get a CBILS his turnover is high enough and I think this is de-risked enough. He's a haulier. I reckon a bit in here and he will have his truck fleet paid off in 3 years. But agreed I think time is running out to buy at proper mates rates.

Not saying this isn't investable at 10p but who the hell wants to buy 10p when you could have got 3.4p.

Downside is need to hold for 28 years Araguaia mine life (+2 years build time). So lets hope someone comes and pays £1 for the lot earlier!

Flavour - Geng called it and I was surprised. Post Orion I thought the sp would floor at a level above the gap which was created on the day Orion deal got announced. I said 'no way are we going back down there'.

Yes these things are slightly circular and self fulfilling - if enough believe it it will happen. But actually what happened with the Orion gap (IMO) is people knew there was still a year to finance complete and thought plenty of time to sell the news and buy back in closer to financing. Then covid came. Plus we had a bunch of II sellers.

The reason I don't think all gaps close is if enough people now believe we are weeks/months away from the final big piece of the jigsaw it is not a given we will do 3.9p again. That is not to say that post finance deal RNS, which might present another big gap up, some of the gap (or all?) won't get filled in the 2 years needed to build the mine. I think most here are expecting a spike up and some selling will of course happen.

The question for me at that point is do the funds move in when this is substantially de-risked. From a fund managers point of view we are in a very different place with finance deal committed, mcap over £100m. I am hoping very much any PI selling at that point gets mopped by the II buying and we don't see the finance complete gap get filled.

Anyway I'm not a trader these are just my thoughts on it. I made my money by investing not trading but good luck to those who can make it trading also. They provide liquidity if nothing else :)

pickedpeck my spreadsheet has a line for £5 (total returns) as I once calculated that might be possible from Vermelho total mine life and I might (just about) live to see it. Just for a laugh. The total return against it now is 9 figures (GBP) £113,298,555.00.
I still think I'll start not knowing what to do with the money once we're into 7 figures+ (GBP) so it doesn't really matter to me much above 20p-30p area. But I guess everyone is looking to maximise returns and for some life changing amounts might happen at higher SPs - sadly for those they need to remain patient for more years I suspect!

Anyway enough talk of riches, got to crack the pesky 5p area first before we get ahead of ourselves :)

duster - if we see low 4s again hopefully 4 will act as resistance (down) and I won't be unhappy at all and agreed, equally possible to go back before we go forward. I'll be buying end of August if we're low 4s. Completely agree these things don't go in a straight line but it is also risky for traders to try and time an RNS. Who knows if the next one lands in August and could be bigger than the last one!

Flavour - I do (pretty much same alias as here) but in a very very limited way I follow a small group and member of a couple of groups of things of interest. The rest of twitter I find a bit too 'social media' and generally I disagree with the majority of people on most things (I'm on the losing side in every GE as I vote green, for instance) so agree it is a depressing place.

I mustn't completely knock it, it's where I heard of EUA which made me 50 grand. So signing up to twitter became a 50 grand investment.

I think it's like everything else - once you find people who's opinion you respect and offer balanced judgments etc it has its pros. But certainly it's cons. GLA
