ScubaGuy-totally understand. I have three times lost very big money, and God does it hurt. Once my daughter had to buy me a whole box of Yorkies after she found out what had happened to her dad. Yes SEY have well and truly hacked me off today. I have been in and out; mostly in, since pre-consolidation days. When I first invested I was so pleased at finding they were drilling where there was such a good chance of a hit. Honestly we were both hoping for a multi bagger; a certain way of winning the lottery. But in our hearts (in the dark corners where we sometimes don't look) we know this can happen. I held DES at 170p. Now look at where they are. But there have been extreme gains too, more rarely of late it seems. No words from anyone on this board will help. BUT I have learnt TWO things about shares in a few years of trading. One is that patience is required, and two don't put all your eggs in one basket. So luckily I've got my fingers in other pies. I hope you have too! With SEY I've waited. Like you, a bl00dy long time. They aren't going to go bust, but hopefully they will drill again using data they now have at their disposal. Sometimes its not win win and life isn't fair. I still won't listen to loonies coming on any board with a tip unless they give some clue or evidence that they know what they are talking about and have other pi's best interests at heart. Binky could have approached things with a little more maturity and then maybe he wouldn't have been so readily dismissed. I'm all for sharing information, but not in a na,na,na,na way. ChazReinhold - Where the **** were you when we needed you? Most sensible post on this board for ages. Sadly, logic says this should have been a hit (all surrounding wells have had success of one sort or another, and WZR are just down the road) As I'm £7k down on SEY alone today, I'm not the happiest person around, but like all oilies its always going to be a risk if you chase stocks that can multi by factors of 10 or more. For some very disheartened soles on the boards today please don't do anything more foolhardy than promote Binky to guru status. Sadly I'm just going to have to hold, they're not going bust and hopefully will drill again close by. When the decision about next drill is made it will be an opportunity for those unhappy pis to sell without too great a loss. Luckily SEY also have an income from other projects so I'm down but not out. And I still won't listen to posters deramping a share without good evidence. My bad, on this occasion.

Flawless- a bit gutted to say the least. Still it's a hold, but for quite a while.

I started in SEY two years ago when I found that they were drilling down the road from GKP. I once held 300k GKP at 11p. Imagine my frustration at selling at 30p ish. Still all is good profit, but my sell was tinged with regret at my lack of patience. So in my view SEY are drilling in the right area. Then came dilution and my initial holding of 400k shares became 10K shares, but worth 170p each A very difficult drill, broken pipes and acidic gas meant many delays. Then SEY hit water, the share price fell. Was it the end? Was it a DES mountain stream? Crystal clear but worthless. Optimistically SEY kept on drilling. And as yet they haven't give us the- 'sorry to say plugged and abandoned notification'. So does it take this long to say 'we have found no hydrocarbons worth talking about?' Makes me suspicious that there's more to this than meets the eye. Finally I have been fortunate enough to see photographs of the actual drill site. And there is oil lying about in puddles all around. Were they caused by a tanker accident or have they always been there and made their way to the surface from underground resevoirs?

Hope we are not blowing smoke up each others a****. I know SEY as well as I can. WZR had so much oil and gas that the well got out of control. The're our near neighbours. Can we have that much bad luck that the oil field doesn't extend under SEY's block? When SEY hit water and share price fell drastically, something must have made them keep drilling. Reading GEChems post gave me hope as he said that the rock formation that trapped water above it might also trap oil below it. As re share price we are nearly as low as we can go. On Line Tuba's post agreed with my own figures. So downside won't mean a fall from 170p to 12p as per DES. BUT here's the key. I was in SEY after consolidation and pre drill. The share price was THEN £1.70 without oil. If SEY hit, depending on quantity (as other drills in area have no API problems) this could go huge. A hit might translate to 150% rise on first day, but do you remember RKH spiking on the second and third days too as the value of the strike came to be realised? WE stand to lose maybe 25%, and after my massive loss on XEL that would be hard to take. But if SEY hit then my £50k loss on XEL will look minor. Love your optimism on the board, we'll either be too p****ed next week to go to work or even find the car on the drive or we'll be forced to take to our beds and maybe even medication. Binky you're back on here!!! Still no evidence of your holding. If you want to criticise and make controversial statements on the SEY board you are going to look a bit of a weenie if you don't even hold SEY. So, again, I ask 'show us your holding' or jog on and shut up. BTW your efforts to distant yourself from soup was sadly laughable in a pathetic, feel sorry for you sort of way.

Arctic - Cheers for that. I, too, am sick of people wasting board space by posting a load of tosh. Infantile tosh at that! You must have seen Binky's post saying that this will fall to 20p etc. Well this share is pretty well at its lowest point, so no point in posting 'this share is going to the dogs'. Any knowlegeable invsetor knows its down 70% since consolidation. I have a reasonable holding in this company, and know the risks. I also know the implication of the strikes at GKP and WZR. As with all shares you press the 'buy' or 'sell' buttons and no school yard bafoon should try to influences that choice. Thanks for taking a considered view. ATB VCB

Arctic, I think you missed the point of On Line Tuba's post. If you read it again it said exactly what you are saying. It was using SARCASM at the stupid deramping posts seen on here recently. OLT was asking if he posted a ramp saying 'wouldn't want to be out of it over the weekend or Boooooom and such like would any sensible poster follow the advice? No, of course not. In my opinion he wasn't ramping SEY, just placing ridicule on those making a very childish and transparent attempt to forecast doom and gloom by Binky and his school yard friend.

I'm glad someone on here can do maths. The money in the bank plus the licences make this above 33p without success in the drill. Market confidence in SEY is low as they 'did a DES' and found water. However the upside of this with a GKP size find would be huge. I wonder if Binky and Heinz Soups, or whatever he calls himself, even know the implications of GKP or WZR? Nah, doubt it. To come on a bulletin board as a pair of novices and attempt to deramp a share without the slightest knowledge of the company or drilling site is at best childish.

you been in since pre-consolidation? I once had 400k shares here at an average of 4p, which was then reduced at a ratio of 40:1. Like you, I've been in and out since then. I am now back in with 50k shares awaiting results. Downside a loss of 30%, not the usaul 60%+ on a duster. However I have reason to be confident against the stream of popular opinion. We'll see! juzza444...can't quite understand your banter old chap. Are you saying because target depth was reached without actual comment from SEY that pis assumed duster? Are you highlighting the fact that wireline logs were still run then following target depth being hit? This leads you to assume more positive news correct? Look at the buying pattern over the last week. What have you noticed? Develop your idea and then come back to me with a proposition as to why the trades are the size they are? ATB VCB

expect to be right if the rumour came from a trusted source such as the Times, BUT this is the second time we've been here. Some months ago the Times reported the exact same rumour which caused a relatively big spike, sadly all to no avail. Let's hope it's second time lucky. Personally if we haven't heard by next Friday, I'll probably assume duster and get out. But, as you know, anything can happen. Who'd have thought this would have dwindled down to 60p from 180 ish post consolidation? ATB VCB

Wow and a gold prospect that is already an established find in Europe. Could be worth waiting for. Have spoken with a director who played things very close to his chest BUT did say that there are a number of investors keen to add money to this venture. He was very upbeat about 'significant value yet to be added' ATB to those who have held with baited breath.

you can only hope. BUT I learnt an awful lot from following his 'sincere' approach to fellow pis. He taught me to be synical, which has helped me no end since the days of his famous PXS and ACTA ramps.

If no acquisition then I pressume cash held will be distributed between shareholders. Could be as much as 15p per share perhaps? Any other holder(s) wish to comment on future of shares?

..... In answer to your question - 'What are CPW bringing to the table?' In my view very little. They are merely a vehicle by which Best Buy will make their entry to the UK. Because of the jv between Best Buy and CPW my thinking is that the share price of CPW will rise as a result. No more, no less.
