not a share you can trade is it? Once you are out you just can't get back in a whatever price! There will be many pis who come up against the dreaded 'Negotiated Deal' in their efforts to buy!

...serious here now. Anyone else notice how the spread has moved for 6.5% on Tuesday to 2.7% today? Looking at the charts I think we might well blow past the previous 11p, but on no news? Just what's in the pipeline, besides a sales update?

alw51. Nice to find a poster who is straight about their position. Normally I would agree with your tactic and would have sold out myself; BUT this is ACTA. It doesn't do what other shares do! It is my belief that pis are taking an optimistic stance about the revenue ACTA is generating from sells of such technologies as the mobile base stations. IF the figures come in showing strong demand then ACTA will fly and there will be no catching it. I've been very lucky to be here on such an occasion and I'm hoping to catch the positive effect of a good RNS. I genuinely believe after the loss of sales in Italy ACTA are due a strong rebound. They have a good md with an eye for new business.

STAY LONG. Normally I would do the reverse of their advice, but having been with Acta for some years I know that to bale out now would be stupidity.

...to pay a premium for this today £10ks worth at 9.2p. It's obvious there's more to come here, but even in wild optimism I can't see Acta continuing at 10% a day! But if a sales update gets to RNS then as someone posted here today there will be serious profits on the line!

...to see the highs of 70p+ again for a while, looking at the trend I'm optimistic that with news that's expected re sales ACTA will exceed the recent 12p high by some way.

...that the movements towards 50p are in anticipation of news re a second drill. There have been protracted discussions between SEY and KNOC as to the value of a second drill at Sangrew. If they believe they missed first time due to an error in siting of drill and not because there wasn't oil present within the licence area then it would mean they have some sound geological evidence. Then you might see a three figure spike not just 50p ish. Just a view and the reason why I'm still in here.

On Line - I think your observations have relevance. Think you might well regret selling out so soon, and at a small loss no doubt. An announcement of a re-drill will take this to 50p+ and a take-over to much, much more. ATB VCB

By sheer chance I have found out that Alastair Beardsall, Chairman of SEY is in the Far East negotiating with KNOC. The content of their negotiations are unknown to me. Could it be next target to be announced? A selling off of Kurdistan licences? A take over of Kurdistan operations at an enormous price (double or treble current spthen possible)? Strangely, despite a drill that took forever AND failed Alastair Beardsall, was in a very good mood. Now ask yourself SEY holders - If you had drilled forever in a ground where you would have to be very unlucky TO MISS OIL only to find water AND WORSE STILL go on to plug and abandon would you be smiling? - No thought not. So, my burning question - Why is he so happy at the moment and what is he negotiating? ATB VCB Can anyone add to this piece of knowledge?

Still no news from the front line. If they have no oil how long does it take to say we have no oil? Is there just a chance, however small, that they have something?

Just seen this posted on VOG board. I wonder what generated that theory? I sill think BLVN will Farm in on SEY license when boarder dispute rectification is announced shortly. Leaves their on shore Cameroon assets, what to do with them!!!!

Fineance...I think the next RNS might give us statements like 'vital data and knowledge gained' and 'we will use knowledge and drill again' Share price could be low/mid 40s on such an announcement. Of course we could get gas, possibly commercial, but if I say that I might get accused of ramping. That'll be a laugh. ATB VCB

Thanks GeoChem. I read your earlier stuff with Gracysdad as I've been here a long while. You have, of course, a greater knowledge of the geology than most. I am always pleased to read your take on matters. How SEY managed to miss is beyond me, but like you I still have 100% faith in their acerage and licences. Guess we all in for a bit of a wait now. Good stategy juzza. All is not lost. Even if you ignore this for 6 months (I hate having to do that as I have to admit failure to myself) this will still come back to your average this year. Personally I'm in BMR in a big way and if that happens I'll use the cash to average down here to give me the leeway of getting out at my leisure if I have to. But as it stands, although I'm sitting on a loss, I'm staying with SEY until a decision is made, or as Chaz says someone thinks they are more than happy to pay for SEY's licences. Everyone knows that a takeover is three figures. I think it was Flawless who said earlier, that the best way to deal with this is go down the pub. Chaz- you are very knowledgable about SEY. I'm pleased you bought at 2, you lucky ******d. I bought at 4p and had 400k of the bu**ers. Why come on the message boards now? Have you been watching all this time from afar? Some of your suggestions are very plausible. Especially the take over. I was so pleased with all my initial research on SEY, it was the first share on which I did all my own research and that partly explains my deep disappointment today. SEY's acerage is prime stuff. How could they, did they contrive to miss? It was like jumping off a swimming pool diving board and ending up outside the pool. As you know current price at low 30s is a safe bet. So, as I said earlier, I'll average down, a strategy that got me out of DES with a profit!!! Please post more often and not only when there is bad news. There's so much stuff and conjecture to still come from you which can only help other members of this board. ATB VCB

juzza444....actually I'm going to disagree. SEY are casing the hole and testing further. Why would they do that? All is not straightforward here, and I know Scuba's going to want to throttle me because of my optimism, but why spend six figure sums still at the hole? Why not say the famous PAA as all oilies do when its all dirt? To get out of this mess I'm going to average down. A dangerous ploy I know, but it will allow me to wait and at the same time give myself an exit stategy if needed. ATB VCB

If you had informationabout SEY's drill and wanted to share it for everyone's benefit why didn't you approach the board in a sensible way? All this it will be 20p next week won you attention but didn't gain respect. If you really want to help out fellow pis next time can you approach the board of you choosing in a way that isn't na, na nan,na na? Thanks VCB
