I have never shorted MKS, have repetitively said that. I do believe MKS's business model to be rotten. It's store estate of over 1,400 stores is way too large. Large amounts of the stores are poorly located and extremely exposed in the current pandemic - high street, city centre, motorway locations. Continued working from home crimps their footfall.

My view of MKS is just my opinion. People share similar strong views often on chat board discussions. Large amounts of people have called Ocado worthless on this chat board over the years. Some top analysts even have said Ocado's value starts with an O and ends with an O. These views though are discussed without sinking into name calling and sexist remarks time, after time, after time.

The MKS + Ocado partnership will be a success. I have always made that clear. Elsewhere in MKS is where the problems lie. It's clear though that you'd rather hurl abuse and name call than actually discuss fully the issues

Absolutely! So many sold for what they thought was a good profit without having the foresight to keep invested for the huge returns that came later on......

We all understand you more from recent posts. Losing out on a further 400% return from your OCDO investment would hurt. There have been so many on this board and other Ocado boards who have either shorted or missed out on huge Ocado returns and gone onto vent their anger at others rather than recognise they got it wrong. You join a long list.

The largest earner for Ocado solutions revenue is from its CFC deliveries. The store pick solutions are a smaller revenue stream. Bricks and mortar stores are a dying operating model as many on this board will reiterate to you. Currently those with brick and mortar grocery stores are under great pressure to automate and streamline store picking to compete with pure online players. Ocado supply best in class solutions for this task. The store model is dying slowly, the huge growth area for Ocsdo is the CFC model.

A great strength of Ocado is that whatever grocery retailer you are it can offer tailored solutions to help streamline online delivery.

Very low Neil to accuse graking of great naivety. He seems to be speaking from personal experience so am interested to know more. I listed that Ocado have declared they furloughed no employees. Most probably you've made an honest mistake there graking?

Interesting graking. In a recent results presentation Ocado declared that they are not furloughing any of their staff. They pointed out they have taken no funds from the UK taxpayer during the pandemic whereas bricks and mortar grocery retailers have taken hundreds of millions from the taxpayer by way of tax relief on their stores.

Yes, Waitrose stores are better positioned than say MKS but even they are closing stores and I expect many more to close in future.

John Lewis like MKS losing out to a whole host of competitors in clothing and homeware. Costly store network hindering their profitability.

Another move further online by Waitrose. The more grocery retailers move online the better it gets for Ocado. Bigger market, bigger opportunities to sell online grocery solutions around the world.

Just price targets. No guarantee of a share rising or falling in the future. Current share price is the true indicator.

Interestingly poised. Consolidation happening fast. Sainsbury's tried to buy Asda. Others will be looking more at mergers/ takeovers. So many possibilities but the theme of consolidation I see continuing. A handful of channels, Amazon, Tesco and Ocado taking an increasing slice of the online grocery market. Huge competition between those 3 competitors for market share.

Interesting move. Amazon already hold a substantial investment in deliveroo. From this move it's fair to assume in time that Waitrose will be available on the Amazon platform. Combination of Morrisons and Waitrose would be a strong partner for Amazon.

Big problem for mainstream bricks and mortar grocery players, ie Sainsbury's/Tesco. Shift online set to further eat away at their margins and lose them customers.

All good for Ocado. The more Amazon move into grocery the quicker the rest will need help to compete online

Chat boards are for posting opinions. You don't have to post a positive opinion of the company in question. They are for posting honest opinions. Many believe the core of many retail store chains to be rotten. The huge and accelerated shift to online has caught out many companies.

So you've missed out on the OCDO share move from 550p to 2,500p. That would have bought a lot more houses and boats. We all understand your pain now.

Over the same time frame pure online plays will win out over MKS in the current environment and continue to do so. Huge store networks being a distinct drag on performance. This point has already been clearly borne out in your comparison to Ocado since early July.

Aha, and there is the source of the anger. The inability to ride the wave and hold on. I'd be gutted if I misread things and missed out like that.

Ocado is not about the now, it's about the future. Those contracts have added billions to Ocado's market capitalisation. Ongoing fees and profits from them will be extremely lucrative when they are set up and running.
