Again I have stated the number of stores absolutely correctly. Look at my posts it's there for all to see. MKS's core, (it's stores) I do believe is rotten. The board have taken steps to remedy this by planning to cut store numbers. From my research I believe the number needs to be cut a lot further. Again you resort to mysogynist language.

Posted today as the statement "CV19 has less than nothing to do with the drop" was crazily innacurate. Haven't invested so far but like to keep in touch with other retail shares as there are crossover issues and trends that interest me and influence my investment choices. I post on here to further understand the issues facing MKS. I see lots of structural issues the chat board as a whole doesn't which is interesting. You may see it as a waste of time but personally I find it crucial that I delve deeper and understand the trends moving different retail sector shares so I can capitalise on the emergent trends.

Now you are calling me a woman and of course avoid the fact that I was correct regarding MKS store numbers. Classy.

neilhumphreys5ya - I was absolutely correct re number of stores read my posts carefully. Earlier posts said 959 UK stores, which is true. In other posts I have referred to the 1,400+ total global stores.

Of course easier to call something nonsense than to actually delve further

Giovianno55020 - Ok, you believe I am wrong. All boards must have the ability to discuss reasonably the strengths/weaknesses of shares. Yet again you swear. I can see why because you would rather just see the rosy side of MKS. You are uncomfortable with anything that taints that view. School bully tactics, to debate courteously in detail is beyond you.

I've wrote with great depth here and in general got swearing and abuse in return. I have pointed out that a resurgence in Covid 19 will hit MKS (excluding it's OCDO partnership) particularly hard for various reasons. I have never been short and believe your incredibly fortuitous MKS trading record. Calling someone "scum of the earth" undermines any credibility you have.

The thread follows from Barclays downgrading Ocado some days ago. They are not so good at OCDO share predictions. Looking like new high again today against a significantly falling FTSE 100. Swimming against the tide again...

Barclays amended from equal weight to underweight but upped price target from 1200p to 1600p. Covered their bases there. Admitting really that their previous forecast was way off

Yes AllAtsea it is a risky stock. Management team have really proved themselves over the years. On any given day this stock could go up/down 5% with ease. There will be a time when the future is fully priced in. Personally I don't think we are there yet...

Barclays downgraded OCDO to underweight today. Price down just a touch. Barclays have never been a believer.

Fair enough, you're not convinced. We have had so many similar posts over the years on here. Those that have correctly foreseen the future have nabbed a 700% return on their investment til now. Those that went against it lost everything. Was once the most shorted stock on the FTSE. Nothing like that now.

Profit at Ocado retail is ploughed back into its technology so that the company keeps at the forefront of the exponentially growing online grocery sector. If you judge by traditional metrics Ocado is hard to understand. If you realise the enormous potential profits further down the line, 5 years+, then all becomes clear. Similar to Amazon. Small profits for a long time at the start but a huge valuation as investors could see a huge profit down the way and were willing to back them foregoing dividends in the hope of large share growth.

Ocado's 4 year return is +700% versus the more traditional high street returns of MKS, -70% over 4 years. It has outpaced MKS by 8% in the last month alone....

Again swimming strongly against the tide. More to come

Ignore it if you want to. The market can see it though. It has huge ramifications for MKS.

Bank of England remarks today were less dovish than they have been and it warned the economy will take longer to recover than previously forecast. This has driven today's FTSE selloff....

Virus cases in Germany and France are increasingly greatly. We're having more local lockdowns in the UK. Sensible to predict this surge to continue.

Sure, there is a place for a much streamlined repositioned store network but it's very costly and takes a lot of vision to carry out successfully. Current store cuts do not go anywhere near far enough imo.

The elephant in the room and a key focus for the market is Covids continuing effect on MKS's 1,400+ physical stores. Very few on the board talks about it but it's there and the virus is coming back in a big way.
