Permit issued. Took long enough ffs. Anyway, done now. Been a bit of a roller coaster.

Given that the dividend is set as a % of profits, and they weren't great, I'm expecting a paltry divi. But who cares. With crypto volatile and rising, and VIX high as others have pointed out, the forecast should be good, and we shoukd get a decent rerate. And there's no pesky Israeli tax to pay on capital gains.

Cleared out a lot of the short termers before the permit even lands. Surely it has to be today, now this has leaked. Then APEC funds, maybe Monday? I was hoping for this sort of level before the permit was issued. Feel bad for whoever sold at 1.35p today though.

Unless he is formally on leave he will be getting a Ministerial box with papers to sign off from hisDept. Maybe not daily, but regularly, and several times a week. Bt he might have alteady signed it, and its working its way back through the bureaucratic labyrinth. Which will be shut tomorrow.

I am incredulous that they still haven't got round to issuing the permit. Or denying it, if that is their decision. But just sitting on it like this, like a rabbit in the headlights. It's almost as if they want the project to fall apart. Really can't believe it now.

Just unbelievable than DCCAE haven't got Sean Canney to sign off the permit yet.

I guess if An Taisce had managed to pass their Bill, Ireland wouldn't have been able to use it's own gas resources to power itself in this way for several centuries. This sort of tech is going to pose them some problems. How to react to burning fossil fuels if they don't produce CO2?

I think that it is being held until DCCAE issue the permit. Time will tell if I am right. Just wish DCCAE Would get on with it. They've dragged this out ridiculously. So much for standing for the people of Ireland.

Oh wow Oiler, thanks for bringing that to my attention. Guess they'll have to do a placing? Maybe 500 million shares at 1p each? Or maybe the farm-out agreement covered this, if either of us could be bothered to read it. But, hey, whose going to put any effort in before taking a punt with their own money? Dude, go on their website and take 10 to 15 minutes if you're thinking of investing.

To be fair Fernan, I put most of the blame at DCCAE's door. They rushed the orignal permit, openng the door to An Taisce's judicial review. I think PVR made the right call in pulling their initial application. JR can take much longer than this renewed process has. But saying that, PVR helped DCCAE out of a tight corner by doing so, and we could have expected some reciprocation. But what we've had is endless foot dragging, repeated requests for irrelevant info, and deadlines extended because of DCCAE's incompetence in loading things to their own website. They could have concluded this months ago if they'd behaved professionally. Instead, we have the arrogance of Government laid bare.

Honestly think the money will not be released to PVR until DCCAE issue the permit. I can quite understand why the Chinese would do this, what with An Taisce's shenanigans, and the Irish Govt declaring a climate emergency.

I'm starting to consider applying for a judicial review into why DCCAE are taking so damn long with this application.

Hopefully the fact that the money is with HSBC means it has passed the checks necessary to be moved out of China. Now it needs to pass the checks to be allowed to be deposited into PVR's account in the EU. So not only have we had to comply with onerous EU regs to get a permit to do a site survey, we have to comply with a different set of regs to get the money to pay for the site survey. But, i'm sure there are good reasons for all these regs.
