Unfortunately its not a matter of 'liking' Boris and the Tories, Pl100, so much as a case of least worst option off a terrible menu. What really is the alternative? Labour? Lib Dems? They're the same only more so - more corrupt, more stupid, more ridiculous out of touch policies. I have a dream. That one day the Labour Party will rise up and live out the true meaning of their values and principles. I also dream that one day socialism will work properly, unsullied by human nature, and that the globe will enjoy great wealth, freedom and prosperity without using any fossil fuels at all by 2050. But dreams is what they are - detached from reality as it actually is.

Just looked in on the Board. Am I getting this right? Dunce has been screaming about a heavily discounted dilutive raise being nailed on, and the reason for the low share price, but now he's decided it's because the Company are buying back their own shares - literally the opposite? Had a look at his website. About as credible as his reasoning abilities.

Don't know what you're on about Dunce. I'm the only one who buys things with my money. Apart from the Govt after they've gouged me for tax of course. If you think someone has been buying things with 'your' money, that just means you can't take responsibility for your own trading decisions, and want to blame someone else.

BYP, of course DA doesn't care about the share price. Why would he? Once the Company has raised money through issuing shares, they're really pretty irrelevant. Sure, there are regulatory requirements to observe, but I'd bet almost all holders now bought their shares on the open market, not from the company. They are just financial instruments. It always amazes me that punters don't seem to get this - although its usually because they want to blame someone else for placing a losing bet. If the fundamentals are good, just sit it out.

Ok, it is dull, I accept that. But compared to some all day long Parliamentary debates I sat through as a civil servant, this is zinging.

NCYT tweeted earlier that they are still short of votes. Whichever way you want, please do vote. No point moaning on here if you're not going to take action.

Dunc asserts that there WILL be a capital raise based, if I understand his/her reasoning correctly, on the fact that the resolutions at last years AGM give the Board authority to do so, if they deem necessary. Resolution 6 last year also gave them authority to undertake a share buy back programme. So, according to Dunc's logic, they WILL do that too. Probably at the exact same time they are issuing shares like confetti to do a deeply dilutive discounted raise. The provisions are essentially incompatible precisely so they can give the Board maximum flexibility to react to changing and/or unforeseen circumstances.

Dunc, you're relentlessly pushing as if its a fact that NCYT are going to do a raise - implication, by issuing more shares and diluting shareholders. You say you keep your posts on the objective & realist side, so I ask (again) what objective and realistic basis do you have for relentlessly pushing this assertion. The objective and real facts are that the company has an enormous cash war chest snd have stated that they do not anticipate doing a raise.

Hillseeker, I wholeheartedly agree with your approach. They may actually need more than £77m for M&A, but if they do, they may be awaiting the resolution of the DHSC dispute, which could provide considerably more cash. And even if it doesn't, they have zero debt, and can borrow before resorting to diluting us. So I will be voting for and against, exactly as you propose.

Porky, if any one of us here achieved what Graham has achieved with NCYT, I'm sure we would all feel we had earned that sort of payoff as we walked out the door. Let's celebrate his achievements, instead of succumbing to jealousy. The sp was around 7p two years ago. Even where it is now reflects an incredible rerate.

I just wanted to return to the "If you were GM would you be happy retiring under a cloud ?" as I've been mulling it a bit over the weekend. I think GM is trying to flush every last possible bit of bad news out before his tenure is over, to give the incoming CEO the best possible start of only having good news/ recovery news to issue, at least in the early days. I've seen it before in other companies, and its an honest and self-deprecating service. The sort of thing no politician would ever countenance (which is in its favour). No one is infallible.
