I do not want to rain on your parade,but i shouldnt get too excited over the commodity prices as any increases will be viewed by hmg as excessive and will be taxed accordingly. More so than ever with bond yields continually climbing.HMG needs to fill a gap. So inmho they will go after the likes of companies such as Serica and anyone with a private pension and savings who are not public service people.

I am sure many posters on here are fully up to date with the current crisis within the bond market which will soon filter down. Very sad all round inmv. As an investor here like many of the current posters . Fwiw my concern is that once again these idiots will view that any spike in gas prices will justify a further tax levy. The question is will the likes of BP say enough is enough and support the likes of Serica and other North Sea players a little bit more.???

Maybe just get miill...nd and the cronies that supported it,s idiotic approach to just break wind into a gas storage hub. Inmo That should supply our current gas needs going forward inmv.

I must admit i am very tempted to, but something is a worry here as to why there seems to be no interest in the company. For example someone could quite easily acquire ten percent of the company for around three hundred thousand. Which may sound alot of money,but for active investors it is not.

I still cannot understand the lack of enthusiasm with this company on both sides of the Atlantic. I am sure that the larger holders here feel the same as me over this.

Its also very interesting what you posted in terms of not knowing what was underneath. In other words i am bit like yourself in thinking now wait until someone else takes the risk. Which some have as per previous rns tr1. Personally im happy to hold,but it is becomming more and more bizarre as each day that passes inmho.

So in sumary no offence meant to anyones investment rationale as we all have our own ideas as of how to invest,but it would be nice to see this company get some kind of recognition within the investment community.

This is also very sad in terms of peoples investment decisions are based on a individual investor who posts on social media that they have invested. Come on guys ,gals and inbetweeners do your own due dilligence. Would you go to a cliff top and jump off if someone told you do so. i doubt it . The problem we have is that whatever happens hmg does not want a UK oil and gas industry. Unfortunately this isn't just Labours stance,but also the other parties. All they will simply do is import should they need to . Very sad all round inmv.

Personally I feel we now have a more iminant problem with a negative economy and inflation rising. An interest rise is looming inmho

I am abosutely flabergasted that north sea oil workers have not down tools in protest against what is happening. Do they really luv m....lbnd and its stooges that much. Also what the h...l are the so called bastians of this industry doing. Especicially that thing that controls a off shoot of bp . Excellent post dickupham. You have just about summed everything up and said what most intellegent people feel. This needs to somehow be published in the tabloid press.What is a concern going forward is that these politicians still feel they have a mandate by the voter. The only people i can see voting this lot back in are public sector workers with their cast iron pensions and guarenteed salary increases, Funded by who. My guess is by anyone that works in the private sector and as so eloquently put by hmg and the youngsters of today never had it so easy. Well done past and pressent hmg. You are doing a great job in destroying industry and anyone who has accumalated any savings.

As for the bod of Serica and other highly paid directors. This is where you earn your money in terms of adding value for all stakeholders and not just a few that are connected in some way to the bods of these companies.inmv

Don't worry glosmon. We will soon have a nice new gas pipeline opened up again.ahh politicians. Don't you love them . I wonder if little Britain will benefit by their stance going forward. No doubt they are already trying to work out a cheap gas deal going forward .

Todays Rns is wellcome news,but if anything it highlights the growing need to have a strategic partner to take this forward. Personally i still cannot understand that one or more of these fasion companies have not invested here to scale up the manufactoring process.

As i see it Bsf needs a substantial investment to achieve this. So why hasnt any of these potential organisations so far invested at scale. Surely one or more of these companies has some premises of which Bsf could utilise.Maybe someone could answer this together with possible costs associated in setting up a small manufactoring facility.

I'm afraid the malaise stretches far wider than Serica. Just look at the market as a whole. The FTSE is up around eight percent during the past five years. Whereas the Dow is up over fifty percent. So sad all round. As a country we need to do something positive,but alas the opposite continues to occur. I just hope that the next five years adds value to all share holdings and not the reverse.

The positive here is that the share price has risen. Shirley that's all we want isn't it.

That explains why they didn't go the whole lot. Oh well at least the share price is up.

As you say this is starting to look like the way forward. The market certainly seems to think so. Which is obviously good for holders. So if it continues all is forgiven by me. Especially if the dividend is also maintained.Still baffles me why they didn't buy the whole company in some way.

Maybe someone could answer why they simply didn't acquire the whole company with their diversified assets. On the plus side it's one less north sea player which may appease hmg. Which could altimately benefit Serica in a few years time.
