I am more annoyed with the board of directors nowadays than hmg. They have had ample time to seek new opportunities away from hmg grab. Two years and counting since epl hit.

I agree. They are still way off making any money and worse still they have very little cash. I don't know why they even bothered with this update. It would not have been so bad had they indicated possible licencing agreements. So evidently none are on the horizon.

Fwiw. I hold Serica and they are in reel trouble unless they diversify as a matter of urgency. I would say BP are the better share due to their overseas assets. Also eventually HMG will need the likes of BP on board to ensure that the Uk continues to have supplies of essential lng. As for serica and other north sea players they will continue to be bled dry by hmg. Serica is now in wind down . So the sooner they return whats left of cash the better. A few special dividends would not go amiss before they wind up shop in a few years. Not sure why they have done this as opposed to a special dividend.Maybe it is to fend off a predator or even the opposite.Still happy though if the shareprice can get to 80p without having to sell any.

Also i would not worry about this lot being in power beyond 2030, but of course they may bribe the eleven million public sector workers with a good inflation pay rise together with free pensions. Let alone subsidised holidays at theme parks etc etc
