The shares are yielding twenty percent. There is no eway that they keep this yield. I would say the dividend will be halved inmv

My concern is that our share price is being decimated by the Ceo voicing these kind of these comments ( which are completly justified ) . I think the ceo and the bod of directors should simply get on with moving operations overseas and as he he as freightened just wind down the uk part asap. Maybe mothball it if he can find another investment to fill the revenue gap overseas, but this really is worrying as we could quite easily end up being just valued at cash on hand.

These comments are all very well coming from the ceo,but we need deal outside of the UK and fast inmo. As time is running out. It's no good waiting to see what hmg will do. They should just get on with it. Why not just bid for a company with overseas assets.

Quite a few sells going through. I feel we could be looking at some kind of fund raise. Unless there is some other kind of negative news about to drop.

Well i cannot talk for all elderly people, but i currently pay between twenty and forty percent tax on my private pension. All of which i accumalated through forty years of working. I also recieved very little tax subsidy by the state as i didnt pay into my sip for a good many years and grew the pension pot myself. So it baffles me when some people say that pensioners have had it easy.

Also if the state carry out means testing on the state pension. Then this will hit my retirement drastically and as for saying that its a benefit and not an entitlement . Well forty years of paying national insurrance at around eleven percent does not sit easy with me as it basically means that i have paid an additional eleven percent tax on my earnings. So if they abolish NI then that will mean that the current workforce are better off by around eleven percent. So anyone who has worked for forty years would have subsidised the current workforce . Thats if the state pension becomes means tested. So in sumary elderly people have not really had it that easy inmv . Especiallyif you factor in past taxes and new ones which could be instigated on private pensions and possibly on isas.

In terms of Serica . Well as we all know their current plans regarding wft and epl are an absolute joke and a disgrace which like many other lth has cost us all an absolute fortune.

Quite right . One thing though is why do some and not all people have children when they have no means of supporting them. Wouldnt it actually help society if they used some sort of contraception. Better still simply adopt that would help with the over population issue which we seem to have at the moment. inmv.

I think some people will be queing up behind mommur .. Personally i am thinking of the states or nearer afield in euroupe. For me i anticipated having a state pension which now seems gone due to having a private pension. Even with that they seem hell bent on taxing anything accumilated through work. Then we have isas which they will now tax with the possibility capital gain on main residence. And for what to fund other peoples conflicts and to appease younger people who are just starting out in the work place Which most of us have done during our working careers.inmo

The latest now is that the individual council tax rate will be abolloished. Another twenty five percent tax hike. . ithe only answer is to have a few more offspring. may even offer a room to an mp and charge it ten thousand pounds per week..

I think you may need to move quickly on that as they are talking about capital gains on main residence. Not to metion a rebranding of the councill tax. Let alone what they are going to do with a private pension and isas.

One thing might be worth doing is selling any gains in an isa and buying back to relise a profit to avoid a capital gain if they introduce that one. Its a pity that you cannot easily do that with property.

Inmo they are as arrogant as the last bod.

From day one when this wft and epl was anounced i posted that the industry needed to stick together and collectively unite. Pathetic. . They are oil companies and not some secret organision,scientific , inventive etc working on a new invention. The only invention they have is how to be arrogand and greedy.

As a shareholder i am equally annoyed with them as a company and HMG, but i can now see why a new government has thrown them to to the wolves. United we stand etc, but the oil and gas industry seem to be making matters worse inmho. To hasten to add to the detrement of shareholders.

This new bod means nothing until they actually do something positive for all shareholders. If this is taken private they will just carry on as they are already are but just working for a private entity instead. If this is the agenda then I just hope that a takeover occurs shortly.

Once again the company and its so called called advisors have been cre...tins in their lack of rns announcements. Matbe they have breached so this is worth an fca call.Useless all round. and validates their agenda going forward. The end is neigh with this being listed .they are doing the very minimum until this is taken private.It is looking more and mooe like that you are going to be prooved right Newkotb. inmho

If they carry this ot then at least they have done this across the board. They should also add deffence companies into the mix. Better still abandom wft unless it is for just one year. Maybe they should just stop trying to fund over countries conflicts inmho. After all we have enough issues of own to contend with atm inmho.

For me a i am sure some other lth this is very serious. As many posters have posted about events during the past twelve months. Its all very sad . This is not a childisht game which the likes of the current gvmnt and previous cabinet seem to think it is. Maybe the answer is to withdrawl there cast iron pensions together with the stooges that follow them, but i for one know that this is now not the country to reside in if you want want to preserve anything you have accumalated from hard work during the past fifty years.
