its good to get a sense its selling and I think reflective around the country.
the promo obviously hits the bottom line but no doubt a request, demand from Tesco that distil cannot support. it will encourage repeat buyers as they taste for the first time. if you believe in the quality and the brand, irrespective of prive when redleg and competitors are all back at 20 quid, which will they pick?
this is development and growth time for distil. if the costs can be kept low for sometime, build volume and keep margin then they will be doing well.
so more spent on promo unless Tesco paid but unlikely. better to make 50% on twice as much volume than 65% pon half?? easy of course but you have to keep an eye on it.
to remain listed with Tesco after xmas is a good achievement.
