Imadeabooboo, no, not just you, we've all been there. Once the losses are that big, the feeling is what's the point in selling? No, you're not a moron, even if you feel like it. £300k really is nasty though - I hope you're a wealthy man.
The moral, I believe, is never follow a share down this far - set a notional (and slightly flexible) 'stop loss' in your head.
But with this Russia situation, who could predict anything? I mean take a look at the etf CSRU. That's the entire Russian market. It's down 23% today. Yesterday it was down 55%. The day before, down god knows what. A city trader friend (who unfortunately bought CSRU yesterday) says he's never seen anything like it in his career.
It may be a word used too frequently, but these times really are unprecedented.
