All time lows this morning. No point thinking about what's fair or reasonable, this share is performing so badly against its peers, I've picked a dud and I just don't get it.

... are out and were successful. However, the sample is tiny (smaller than I appreciated) and further large scale trials are now required. Don't hold your breath (sic) for it to be an earner for VLG anytime soon.

Did exactly the same - at about 4pm today. Reckon there must be a few of us with the same thoughts who have, or are about to, take the plunge. Let's hope it helps puts a floor on this share's decline. Sanity will return!

Good news, of course, but I've noticed how, in periods where the share price falls sharply, they always manage to rustle up a positive story seemingly in an effort to arrest the decline. Bit of a pattern.

This share is unlike any other and truly deserves the title of a 'special situation' investment. Almost any outcome is possible from multi-bagger to near total loss. Must say, I like investing in these - one must try to assess on the balance of probabilities and reach a view as to what may happen next. I've added a few more this morning.

We await now, news of the appointment of new Auditors. Somehow doubt there's a queue of applicants.

I can see nothing new here - it's just confirming what was stated in their RNS of 4th Feb.

I'm completely fascinated about this situation, which has never happened to me before in a share and I can't wait for them to finally reveal the matter. That's not to diminish the seriousness or the potential to destroy value. I comfort myself with the oft quoted sentence: "Shareholders have been assured that the matter being investigated by DX Group is a corporate governance and disciplinary issue and not related to the financial performance or the financial position of the group".

Truth is though we're still completely in the dark...

The great Peter Lynch once said that the most successful shorters don't make their money when the share price of their target company is high. No, they wait and wait and then make their best money (in risk adjusted returns) during the final throes of a company's life when there is near certainty that shareholders will be wiped out. I've never shorted in my life but with Loopup I totally get what he means.

As a long-only investor, I feel like the proverbial rabbit caught in the headlights - I haven't yet been able to bring myself to sell at a loss yet, nor do I want to double down when it's almost nailed-on that I'll be able to buy cheaper tomorrow or next week. What a mess.

How is Darktrace affording share buybacks if it's not trading profitably? Something's not adding up here unless they are reducing whatever cash they have left from IPO or are adding to debt to fund it... neither of which is sensible in my view.

Typically good analysis. You're an astute fellow - it seems you timed your entry point to catch the annual NAV uplift, which seems to give the share price a leg up. The question now for me is will it drift gently downwards again as it has done in previous years. I'm a bit short of money atm, but I'm thinking...

As I see it, the kicker here is if management finally do something to realise value and reduce the discount. After all, they are big holders in this Trust too. On the other hand there's no guarantee this will happen anytime soon. I particularly like your point about possible hedging and other strategies employed to mitigate inflation.

Ashley is astute. He may take the company into the Frasers Group fold, but he'll do it cheaply and certainly won't be bailing out existing shareholders imo.

Do I remember rightly that Ashley made an offer for STU a while back, but the BOD and some shareholders refused saying it undervalued the company?
