RE: 12.5p to sell - half the October placing14 Feb 2022 22:19
Yes re dilutions (which I'd thought about but was too lazy to get into). Anyway, whatever the true loss is from June 2018, it's ugly.
For me, the big takeaway from my recent experiences, not just with Loopup, is a behavioural one. Looking back at my trades over the summer, I can now see that flushed with my small cap successes over late 2020 and early 2021, I took on way too much risk. I mean I took bigger positions in riskier propositions and with less due diligence than I should have. I can remember how good I was feeling about my investing skills - started to think I'd cracked it - couldn't wait to reinvest my gains. Well... that was exactly the moment to resist, to say 'ok, nothing goes on forever, the market's fairly or even fully valued here, just leave it in cash for a while'. Wow, that is so hard to do, but, you know, that was the right thing to do. Easy to be wise now. Question is, will I be able to resist in future?
