It occurs to me that it's almost a self-fulfilling prophesy. I mean shorters could pick on just about any yet-to-be-profitable biotech and create said uncertainty and fear, and induce investors to head for the door. So why pick on RENX in particular? Was it richly valued. Is it? There's no easy way to value these yet-to-be-profitable companies, sentiment really matters, and shorters prey on this of course. However, it also occurs to me that any of the mentioned (possibly imminent) catalysts could badly derail a short.... so on balance I'm not sure I'd want to take the risk at these prices. But then I'm not a shorter, let alone a professional one!

No, there are positives. Radcliffe has grown the company over many years to become the biggest and most comprehensive site in the UK for all things bathroom. He knows his market and even now the company is still growing market share. Despite inflationary conditions and an impending cost of living crisis, there's still a 'covid piggybank' attributable to UK consumers and plenty of reasons to update bathrooms given the buoyant property market. Totally overvalued at IPO (262p), but at 57p?

Clearly caught a falling knife (again - do I ever learn?) and yes it is painful!

Just noting that founder Radcliffe bought £2.9m of stock at 97p in early December, so he's also well down on that purchase. But I'm not feeling too sorry for him - £2.9m represents less than 1.5% of the £212m cash he pocketed at IPO...!

Turns out Victoria Plumbing Group was the floppiest of last year's IPO flops!

You're not a numpty, market is being very irrational. I wouldn't be surprised to see director or institutional buys soon.

Today the share price has reached an all-time low, yet the company is definitely well on the road to putting itself right. Who on earth would sell shares at this price? It's madness, I tell you! To me the share is a tremendous bargain, I topped up today and if I had any extra cash available I'd buy more.

A company turnaround is a lengthy process and changing sentiment takes longer. The old saying that the stock market is a mechanism to transfer money from the impatient to the patient has never rung truer.

Capita's far too big to fit in a blender - I think you mean liquidated. And that won't happen.

Poor trading performance and increased indebtedness are the justifiable reasons for share price decline, but in recent months I think it's just down to poor sentiment. Reading the results again, I think that will shift... albeit clearly not immediately.

Anyway, I've taken advantage and added. Patience required.

Tell that to Mr NOFEAR who has shamelessly (and weirdly, unless he's paid for it) been ramping Capita on the Boohoo board constantly.

The other thing, I think I read that Capita is due to be booted out of the FTSE 250, which is a headwind, obvs.

Share price reaction simply reflects the well deserved poor reputation of Capita, which was earned over many years of underperformance. It will take time to shift this sentiment, but you gotta start somewhere.

Disappointing share price reaction to what were reasonably good results. After years of mismanagement and underperformance, it will take more time to shift sentiment towards Costain I'm afraid.
Investors may also be wondering why the improved cash generation is not leading to a dividend.

It was simply overvalued at IPO. Nothing unusual in that, in fact it's par for the course. It's what they do.

The moral of the story is never invest in a new IPO, at least until after the share lockup period has ended which is normally several months after listing. I thought I'd avoided the post IPO drop when I bought in at just under a quid a share in early December... after all, the share was already down 70%, but clearly I was still too early!

No problem. I'm comfortable 98p will prove to have been a good entry price when viewed over a 2-3 year timeframe... but, just to be sure, I added more today at 61p. ;)

This stock has been unfairly beaten up, so I've added on today's share price weakness.

Results out and, despite higher losses and a squeezed gross margin due to supply inflation, the market approves!

Perhaps, finally, the punishment is over for Made shareholders...

Share price dropping sharply into results day on Wednesday. Can't believe it's 34.05p to sell. Even the worst of news is priced in now. ..

Annoyed to be a holder, but thankful I didn't try averaging down as a very sharp knife would have bloodied my hands....

At well under £100m market cap, I'm shocked at the value destruction that's taken place...

Painful indeed.

Apart from the general malaise caused by the Ukraine war, I also think the market is de-rating highly valued quality companies like this one. Painful.
