Could someone kindly remind me what %of AMER is in institutions etc or sticky hands- just wondering what the free float might be........ thanks
Well.........if people are still shorting this stock they must be bonkers and deserve to loose their shirt......ha!
The drilling of Sol is dead cert IMHO. It is at the crest of the structure/strat closure so they will want to know reservoir thickness etc in this area amongst other factors. Just a matter of whether they bring in another rig and I reckon they will if they can get one. As I said the drilling of the key four expl/app wells off the Indico structure will tell them much about the size of the play....... the drilling of the two other quasi 'development' wells into the Indico structure is gravy and will give them increased production in short order........ yum yum ........ gosh and if OXY bring forward their plans too I might wet myself with excitement..........
You don't get the President making comment unless it is a material find........ after the next four wells, Calao, Pavo Real, Sol and Anguila we will get a good idea whether this is a 1 billion barrel find in toto ............. the odds are looking pretty good IMHO, DYOR ....... the more I look at this the more I like it...... 2019 will be one hell of year
Just listened to the AGM presentation ........ JW gives a clue when he says the Mariposa production/reservoir pressures suggested a connected volume covering at least 3,700 Ac..... that's 15 sqkm ..... much much larger than the original Mariposa closure ............ which gave the 1MMBbls gross recoverable pre-drill estimate. The 15 sqkm area would x17 the original by my estimate. Then add Indico which I guessimate at some 50MMBBls gross recoverable ........ mmmm an then there's all the additional drilling to do in all that land ...... no wonder the directors are buying like mad.......DYOR
If you look at the AGM presentation it can be seen that the Mariposa, Indico, Calao etc area is but a small fraction of the CPO-05 block, in the west. The regional seismic lines illustrated show that there are some exciting looking features/prospects annotated in the east of the block where 3D is located too............ mmmmm IMHO, DYOR this really could end up a world class asset.....
Keep the faith, after two and a half years here I am..............
Excuse the post Chistmas pun but with this news the potential of CPO-05 is starting to show its head and boy is the potential big.......... inspection of the Marisposa prospect map referred too a few days ago and the news that they are drilling the Calao and Pavo Real prospects/fault blocks next suggests to me (IMHO, DYOR) that they really think there could be a connected volume here that stretches all the from Mariposa to Sol and includes Indico etc. It would appear the Calao play should be within the structural equivalent of the oil column in Indico albeit a downthrown fault block but then it extends updip into Sol. A similar situation seems to occur with the Pavo Real play which could extend to Mariposa. The volumes quoted by the company seem to just reference the fault blocks being drilled but the upside, as again they suggest, is also there to be seen...........bring it on !! exciting times as the there the southern plays and OXY too.
?? Spot on...Trumps played his last hand.....US enviro fecked, contaminated water soon to be a really big issue. OPEC + 1 playing long game.....POO will rise to $70 over next 3 months...
Basil..... nice ....totally agree...... surely we’ll fly soon ?? reality has to s...hit shale at some point
PP. Think you misread me. It’s the Indico structural closure that’s 4km2. Mariposa structure is smaller hence their original pre drill reserves estimates. Now that’s not to say they aren’t connected they might be - however because the discoveries are in the same Formation that doesn’t mean they are connected. Appraisal wells needed - much to play for and exciting times. I think ONGC are being careful the way they are approaching this. Long term test results will help.
Baysil. I have reviewed the old maps from past presentations and the Indico structure is about 4 km2. Assuming the the whole structure is filled and with 283ft if column thus far that’s much of it, with typical reservoir parameters this equates to about gross 150 MMBbls in place IMHO DYOR etc etc. That would equate to say gross 50MMBbls reserves. What’s almost more interesting is that the Mariposa structure as mapped is small and now they have produced ?3MMBbls this suggests IMHO that the trap is likely to have a startigraphic component and therefore be much much larger than envisaged. I think they need to drill an appraisal well to start to understand it. With sol and the other to drill there is no doubt the reserves here could be seriously material.........Them there’s the OXy deal... lots to be excited about in my view. Bring it on....
When you compare to so many companies - to name JOG as an example. Patience here and we will all be rewarded accordingly
Anyone understand the rise was all about? Like you wo I'm happy to sit and wait it will happen for sure and then bammmm!
here is far too much negative sentiment towards MB and BOD on the board IMHO.
Remember MB has only been on board a year and look what has been achieved.
Conducting a drilling programme of six wells from scratch is no mean feat especially when you are in the hands of Chinese contractors who possibly have a vested indirect interest. We are in the middle of nowhere. Drilling often springs surprises....... and often takes longer than envisaged..... so what......
It's time we were all more patient. MB has always said the results will be given post drilling AND logging when some sense of assurity can be given.... in my mind anything before that could provide false information - oil shows per se may not be positive enough......
Time will tell - good luck to all
Whoops - sorry wrong board..........

Spot on Ojay exactly my point. Vic14 shame you can’t understand simple mechanics. It is the self interest of traders that can undermine confidence in a company, sacrificing long term strategic goals for short term gains. Traders don’t give a toss about the success of the company only whether they can gain by any means available. Having met MB I’m sure he doesn’t give a monkeys for the whining of folks like you and Schm123 ....... good on him I say.....
The naivety and self interest in this board is staggering. Building a company is all about risk management not the interests of a few traders hoping to make a quick killing. Mike Buck is doing a brilliant job, is doing exactly what I would do in his shoes and has the interests of long term holders at heart, of that I am sure. The reasons for the recent raise are clear and most sensible, namely........... to extend the drilling schedule to give the best chance of success overall. Nobody knows whether the first well will come in or the last and if you run out of drilling options too early then raising money at that point will be that much costly and harder. Furthermore, having the cash allows MB to go and negotiate and rig now so the programme is relatively seamless. There was an RNS that suggested that the Fox prospect has DHIs which adds encouragement that it will be a success so why not drill this sooner rather than later........ bring it on ...... may the programme begin and may all LTHs succeed together with MB.
Great presentation illustrating clear low risk growth strategy. SP will progressively move. More reserves, more production, more cash. This company will keep giving and if the SD oil comes then boom.....love it. It will take off at some point you just don’t know when......
It could easily be 100 MMBbls though which would be worth $1 billion +..... and that's 10 a share plus or minus.....wow this share really has legs so glad I topped - now fully committed. If anyone will deliver it will be TC......... that's Top Cat of course !
