RE: Genuine question8 Feb 2021 09:19
Surescreen is not a listed company, they are under much looser rules as to what they can say. Surescreen also have a confirmed 2M unit order, I think this is separate from the newsflow over the weekend.
ODX is a listed company and therefore required to followed guidelines about making statements that might be price sensitive. As has been repeated by ODX today, the company is obligated to announce via RNS when they receive significant orders. As ODX has not released an order related RNS since OCT, you can be certain that they have no orders at this time that are price significant for ANY LFT products. This is not surprising in the case of LFT antigen, as they do not have an LFT antigen product that can be ordered, it is still being worked on. It is thought that the RTC antibody test is being held back for sales due to gov being sole possible buyer until 15th of Feb, which is a reasonable narrative. However the visitect antibody test has been available for unrestricted sales for several months now, and no order related RNS has been issued, it therefore has not had any price significant orders.
There will likely be a chorus of people who will tell you I am a deramper, but note that whilst doing so, none will argue that the company have released order related RNSs, and the company have repeatedly stated that orders are RNSed. The statement that there are no price sensitive orders is a fact, which is why it will not be argued.
