Hi unvrkw, I understand that H1 only had 2 months outside but if that is directly pro- rartered then this ignores any winter factory production. I fondly hoped the factory was in production during the winter quarry shut down? No such luck?

Will miss your posts. I didn't always understand the jargon but appreciated the comments.

With the fall in the £ and the USA expansion I suspect the half-year will be very good. If the profits are improved, as per the forecast, and the divi is correspondingly increased I reckon we could well have another sp rise and It's only 2.5 months to half year. You might miss the boat!

I believe that many manufactures of planes and many manufacturers of parts use HCP. It may not be possible to quantify this. Those that don't possibly use an alternative. As CVD appears superior to any other process then it virtually impossible to quantify the potential. Dozens of parts on thousands of planes perhaps - but not possible with current capacity!!

Hi Nosugar - I've commented before that HDD is a slow burner. We have production restrictions.

Bicester has no more capacity and Martindale has, I think, a max space of 6 reactors. Each reactor has a capacity to generate some 1 Mill of revenue so around 9 mill is our possible revenue once we get to the max at Martindale. To get 6 reactors into Martindale will take probably some 12/24 months at current building times (2 on the way, 2 to order)

Now we've got a senior guy in Houston it may be possible, if he can generate the business, to reintroduce production facilities in there for the O & G market plus the flow control business. Say 2/3 reactors? This will not need the high standards of NADCAD and free up both Bicester and Martindale solely for aerospace.

The other way, I can see, of increasing production quickly is to licence the coating process to the plane manufactures and their suppliers and for them to incorporate the coating in their direct manufacturing process on their own sites. Obviously we will still have to overcome the build time of the reactors but we will have no site issues.

I'm certain Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer and co are aware of our miniscule status and the strength (hopefully) of our patents. Interesting times ahead methinks!

Hi linahop, Low Margins? The stone is cheap and once extraction and packaging/transportation costs are covered it's largely mark-up from then on. Turn it into slabs and tiles and there's a second substantial bite of the cherry. It's one of my buying pro's. I think the 2nd half figures will be very illuminating!

The late spring has had an effect. If we had a September half-year then the figures would be increased by perhaps 50%.? There is progress on all fronts including a show room. CG took a lot of stick over the factory delays so is perhaps not so keen to over-egg anything.

As unvrkw says things will probably now wait for the full year unless some big orders come in. We may then get an update on the Stone Alliance which could be a game changer anyway. I'm happy to wait.

H Max. I think people got the idea about the labour party and nuclear weapons from various statements and documents over many years. I did say that they may consider it. Not that they would actually do it.

However John MacDonnell, who is the Shadow chancellor and so a fairly big cheese, made a public statement last March and in it he promised to rid the country of both nuclear power and nuclear weapons within 100 days of labour taking power. To be fair he didn't spell it out how he would be able to achieve it -- that would have been interesting!!.

But if you consider it a hugely radical statement like that sort of gives one an inkling?

There are three more astute class to be built to take the total to 7. As 4 are completed you would think the programme might continue.

The new Dreadnought trident system has 2 boats under construction with 2 more to follow. These are in an earlier stage but the boats that they replace are on their last legs (or will be in a few years or so). If we are to keep the trident nuclear deterrent then there is no choice - the programme will have to continue.

However a future Labour government may well consider scrapping trident anyway. If so goodbye Dreadnought.

Last spring the fund raising prospective said that the proposed acquisition programme would complete within 12 months of the funds being raised - 3 days to go folks and only 10% achieved.

The prospective gave a dozen or so anonymous targets and the investors would have had more info than that.

Cash in the bank earns very little. So are we exercising Due Diligence to the Nth degree or just sitting on our hands?

I had no idea of the ramifications you have highlighted in your informative post but for me you have explained a lot.

As I see it we are basically hoping that CG is able to follow through and from past performance I think he is.

Ah yes! 2019 will be the year. As we're over the halfway point for this year then 2019 it is!! Or did I say that last year? And come to think of it did I not say the same thing the year before?

But I have to say I do enjoy the occasional success. As Ray Winston would have it, I do gamble responsibly, just don't tell the missus!

I hold SYM which has had a major hit today but I have sold in the past and my tiny holding is (tiny) profit.

I hold SRT which has just announced a contract cancellation/adjustment (Boo) but also a potential rejig of the same contract with additions (Hooray)

HDD has a great potential but has limited production capacity exacerbated by the 12 months period to actually ordering and then putting into production any new reactor. The company could become Mega.

FOX has a potential to also go Mega. All they need is actually to go into profit and keep the Stone Alliance project with the Kosovar and USA governments on track and they've cracked it.

Terrific potential. Unexpected delays. Terrific potential . Awaiting next full years figures (Again) and so on.

FWITW I'm confident we'll make it. But not when!
