I originally thought it was the customer that did the borrowing from the UKEF. I've been on their website and it appears that it is the exporter that is the borrower. If that is so then I can see why there is a delay because Simon and others outside of SRT are still under investigation.

However a thought has occurred to me that may be bit far fetched perhaps. We are currently processing some four contracts with a total value of some £200 Mil. Could we actually lend the Indonesian Coastguard/Government the cash ourselves? Apparently the UKEF interest rates are not cheap. Just an idea!

Hi Dazpinnk, cant find anything on Silent Radar therefore I think you made it up. However there is a Radar Silent. This is a studio album by - wait for it - The Watchmen!! Pity they weren't on the vessels!

Dazpink, You're quite right about the sensitive cargo but my question No 2 was poorly worded. The sensitive cargo was on the anchored ship which was passive in the collision and so has no bearing on the events and you just muddy the waters by introducing it. You said that there were security reasons why the Stena Immaculate may have been 'radar silent'. You haven't responded to my question regarding this 'radar silent' claim. Question No 3. Please expand on the security reasons.

Dazpink Your not thinking this through. If the fog is heavy then the pair of eyes (which are attached to a human) can slow the vessel to an appropriate speed or indeed stop engines. That's why I mentioned the Officer of the Watch. In fact, under those circumstances the Officer of the Watch would call the Master to the bridge anyway to agree any actions. They may well sound the ships horn (sometimes called a foghorn) and await any reaction and then converse on the VHF radio if there is one.

Answer me two Questions. 1. What on earth is "radar silent" ? 2. What is the sensitive cargo? Are you sure your not making this up as you go along!

Hi Dazpink, the technology successfully used for decades is Radar and a pair of eyes (Officer of the watch) on the bridge. It's pretty simple and usually effective. Ships nowadays can also have collision alarm systems. However they do have to be activated. Some thing was obviously missing in this case. The moving ship was crossing a known anchorage and clearly at fault.

Dazpink, The interim report on the 16th of Jan showed record revenues and a £2.5 Mill profit. You have stated that we are still loss making.

Dazpink - reread the Jan update. A contract pipeline of £334 Mill to be mostly delivered in the next two years. What extra does SRT have to do to be positive in your book?

There is, as Hardboy has said, the Philippines allegations which I believe will exonerate Simon. The only other unknown is SRT's ability to deliver the contracts on time. We've always delivered in the past and I see no reason to doubt our ability to continue to do so.

On the 28th of Feb nobby said ECOB sells walls not houses. Dunno what he thinks ECOB are going to do with the houses.

If your right Magna it is insane. which is probably why your wrong. Just supposing you're correct - where do you suppose the ministerial government delegations of the DR and Chile were taken? Do you think it is like the first men on the moon and done in a TV studio? Obviously they where shown a production facility somewhere or they would of challenged the public announcemet.

In addition you stated that ECOB sold walls not housing. This is not so. If you peruse the revenue arrangements of the two three year European contracts you will see that the third and final payments are triggered by the sale of the completed building. Ecob has to have experienced construction company/personnel on site to supervise/erect the actual buildings because it is truly a unique product. If you think about it (I know, difficult but do try) Any training would need to be on the actual building site by ECOB employees and possibly monitored by surveyors/architects/etc for certification/mortgage/insurance purposes at various stages of the constructing. There will also be Health and Safety issues. This would also be a condition of building site admin.

Basically nobby you should think things through before you hit post.

Hi bluerill, Nobby is confused - and that's being kind! I asked him how he could predict that three production lines would produce only a marginal profit (His post on the 25th of Feb) as an example If they were in the UK three lines would produce over 40 houses per week. At £250k a pop that's over £10 Mill per week and over a full year would be some £500 Mill. You should get a meaningful profit from over £500 mill revenue obviously the revenue might be lower in other parts of the world but so would the costs.

He refused to explain his sums but replied that he got the information from Chis Gilbert and Doctor Albani.

He's constantly, for months and years, called them both everything he can think of from crooks and frauds to incompetents and idiots but is happy to quote them when it suits him. Nobby, If you don't mind, please share the figures you used to arrive your assertion in your 12.13 post yesterday the 22nd of a marginal profit on three production lines. Three production lines could equal around 40 houses a week!

Hi John, January '27 is to far away. I don't know the cost or time scale of a 2nd production line at Durres. But if that can be achieved fairly quickly then we can service both of the long term contracts plus the newer orders in Albania. The revenue increase is virtually guaranteed. If both the DR and the Chilian initiatives succeed you would think the bulk of the funding would be local consisting of a mixture of governmental and private sources perhaps - even a licensing arrangement possibly. The BoD has proved pretty adaptable in the past as evidenced by the payment arrangements in the 2 large contracts. An update on last year would be good - it was certainly eventful! As I've said I think it all hinges on a 2nd production line and the quicker the better.

Hi eddieoxo, buying shares on the AIM is often risky and buying shares in a loss making business increases the risk. I've been on the AIM for over 25 years and several companies I held went into administration. Conversely the ones that made it have more than made up for the losses. Averaging down is one strategy and that can increase the risk.

In June '24 the new improved production line was announced via an RNS. I reckon that might be considered a modicum of success. Since then every RNS has had good news. The first million Euros of revenue could be another modicum. Negotiating to two different governments at ministerial level is also a success as is the certification from the university of Chile.

If you were with Fox then you have a stake in any successful arbitration outcome. We don't know of any progress there but it does seem as if the government of the day broke it's own rules. The only fly in that ointment I can see is that does the Kosovo government have any money!

I'm well under water with ECOB but the last 6 months or so has seen, in my book at least, good progress. We really need a second production line at Durres as soon as possible. If that can be achieved soon then increased revenue is guaranteed because of the contracts in Kosovo and Albania and new orders in Albania. There's still a big risk here but it does seem that the BoD is on the case. It's difficult to see how they could have done much better with the limited resources at their disposal.

As you can tell I'm a glass half-full kind of guy but I believe ECOB has a fighting chance - onwards and upwards.

Hi JC, Not to sure of your point. The UK Export Fund is, I think, the first time we have ever been involved with the UK government concerning a contract so there is no usual intransience. Foreign governments have, so far, always paid promptly.

Whatever happens with the UKEF we will have a record year anyway!

True John - but they both take pleasure in negativity and act more like trolls than shareholders which is what these boards are mainly meant for. They consistently call the BoD liars which is patently not true.

They give no kudos to the fact that when ECOB won the Albanian and Kosovo contracts the production line was in the middle east. Not only have they successfully relocated to Albania but they greatly improved the production as well. They have since won new orders in Albania and banked their first million Euros as they start to service the original contracts.

The product has been certified on two continents and they are in negotiations with two government ministerial departments s with show houses erected in Chile and the DR discussing 2000 houses a year which will require three production lines to achieve.

The product is simplicity itself. A slurry that is basically gypsum with additions and mixed with water, you only have to mould it and dry it. You would think that in automating the line a computer program would be able to mark where the doors and windows need cutting and be able to do that as well.

The BoD is obviously working on the business as shown by the certifications, the automated production line, the visits to the production line by ministerial departments, the show homes in Chile plus of course new orders in Albania.

One further thought. The current MC is only £5 Mill with only some 85 Mill shares issued. To finalise think of the crying need for houses in many countries and ECOB has a quick and cost effective solution that is simple to operate. How many production lines does Gaza need?
