Not sure what the panic is about19 Oct 2017 17:06
We have all seen the balance sheets, cash flow and dividend declaration. The way some are acting, its as if the company doesn't have the cash to pay the dividend, they have suspended the dividend or have lied about giving a dividend. Ask yourself what could have possibly gone wrong with the company for them to not pay the dividend. For something to go majorly wrong with a dividend, the company would have to by law release news immediately regarding this. No news means no problems, so an easy choice to add on weakness from jittery investors. And why would the directors be buying up shares if something was majorly wrong? They are also clearly adding on weakness from investors with the jitters. I would be the first out the door at any whiff of dividend trouble.
What could have went so seriously wrong? The cash evaporated? Its just a bank delay, simple as that. I really cant see anything more sinister than that. And the company can't say much more than what they have released already. A bank error is out of the company's control so they probably don't know themselves.
We should just sit back and chill. Once sorted, up we go.
