DaKen is sopt on. This has been said so many times before. Look at HMSO as they have done a RI with capital restructuring, use it as a case study.
Let's put it this way....if a RI was to be at 10p, do you think the SP would be 186p now? Unless of course all the fund managers, banks, brokers, financial press, massive shareholders and every one else who is scrutinizing IAG overlooked that point which I very much doubt. If a RI were to happen at 10p, the sp now would be.....10p. It would effectively value the company about 94% less than what it currently is, or £222m. Therefore we can easily conclude that there is no RI at 10p.
This is common sense stuff. I find it very hard to believe someone sold because they thought the RI would be at 10p. Sorry but that is beyond stupid and you really should consider if share trading is for you.
