I can't see why GF would carry on acquiring shares. If, as the RNS suggest, they have control of the company why would they bother. They now have their Lithium supply at cost price, the remaining shareholders are not going to get market value for the Lithium. Ganfeng can sit back now and pick off the remaining shareholders at their leisure. Who else is going to by them if they are no longer listed?
I am sorry to say it but I believe that hanging on is grasping at non-existent straws.

Am I really missing something or are they lying in the RNS.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but doesn't yesterday evening's RNS give notice that they are delisting from AIM on 22nd December. Wouldn't that suggest they already have the 75%.

CK, I was going by various articles I have read over the last couple of years (such as the extract below) that suggest the waste rock could be a significant Lithium source.
"Given the growing demand for lithium and the potential that mountains of material from nearly three centuries of kaolin mining could offer a viable source of this battery metal, Innovate UK is funding 1 million pounds (US$1.4 million) toward the Cornish Lithium-led project to assess the potential to produce lithium from waste material produced from both current and historic china clay mining operations." My guess would be here in the Cornish Alps just north of St Austell.

However they are constantly changing so it could easily be one of the other pits nearby. The waste piles that make up the 'Alps' are a potentially already mined lithium source. CL are working with Imerys to possibly make a JV in mining the area for both china clay and Lithium.

I sincerely hope that we are able to watch our investment grow and see this through to production. Sadly, I feel we will probably be a target for M&A long before we get to that point. I only hope that the BOD do not sell us down the river as has happened with the proposed acquisition of Bacanora Lithium by Ganfeng. Hopefully being an asset within the UK the government would step in before it got sold off overseas.

The resin beads have to be matched to the particular brine. At the AGM mine visit they were saying they could further process the water for industrial/agricultural use.
The option of processing of the Cornish Alps is part of the deal with Imerys I believe. Just as they are making good progress with the re-naturing they can mash them all up again.

A case of not seeing the wood for the trees. I was looking closer to the drill site, not expectin it to be so far beyond.

MajorOak, There may be some cost savings at Trevalour in that they are looking to see if they can use the same resource as Imerys will use for China Clay extraction, meaning the ore only has to be mined once for two different products.

The water (which happens to be brine) is being pumped for its geothermic energy value not the Lithium content. CL are just utilising this by product from GEL.
