Yeah Guy. I noticed that you are disappointed. Everyone is. I'm underwater. But if I buy substantially I won't be with a small lift unless we have further to go. As the sp picks up people will buy. They will see that the glass is half full. Because the fundamentals are good and will improve. But when you and others keep moaning- you are like a more credible version of Maestro in terms of impact- they won't buy and then they either wait for a further fall or they don't buy.
Obviously I am not saying you are in any way comparable to Maestro. But your constant distress is visible. You kinda are an advert for your share. And you can make it worse. Or you can make it better. Or not say 'owt. So atm though I am confident this share will do well in the coming weeks, you doing your thing is giving me reason to hold off buying more (not you specifically I mean everyone who does it) to wait for the possibility of getting a lower average or even to consider a sell and re-enter later.
Not just you- apologies if it feels like I am picking on you. Just illustrating a point. If you are in don't deramp. Whatever your plans. Never a good idea.

Good post Grimshady. Thanks for sharing those insights into the regulatory process. I checked the US FDA board for EUA the other day and there were 90 applications in progress, only 5 approved.
But Genedrive are certainly on the list of submissions with permission to sell to labs performing 'complex ' tests- H status. They will be on the case and the BC connection won't exactly do us any harm if the US are buying American. At the end of the day GDR are one of only 4 PCR tests with the very fastest production capacity. And their tests need less of some of the crucial components which are in short supply. They will be thinking strategically about efficiency and efficacy combined. GDR offers that. We will get approval and it can come anytime.
In the meantime Johnson is speaking next week to review the roadmap. It is very likely that testing will be on the agenda. The deadline for the UK lateral flow tests tender for £8 billion is next Wednesday. Even if the focus is on lfts, they are doing 1 million PCR tests a day. That could increase as travel overseas picks up. There will be a lot of coverage of tests and plenty of conversation about the different roles of PCR and lfts. The UK government will also want the new generation of PCRs. And they have a stated preference to buy British. I think this month will see a strong recovery.
When some of you guys spend all day moaning and accusing everyone who feels positive about their investment of 'mindless ramping' it doesn't make those of us who are still buying feel as inclined to do so. Not that I take advice from those concerned or anyone else really, but it's off putting because I know it's a complete turn off for new investors. They and us, are what will pick the sp up. If it's a sell it just means that one of their iis has lost faith in Avacta who were meant to be releasing news of their test today. Neutral for other covid plays unless they are still interested in the industry. If it's a buy it's a good signal for the whole diagnostics industry. Others will start doing their homework. GDR are a good buy for a ii. They don't expect overnight returns. They know testing is part of the landscape now. And very high returns likely in the relatively near term. Imho.

£14.2 million pounds. They are all delighted obviously. Looks like pension funds or an investment trust is looking at covid plays. Those guys and gals think longterm. V positive indicator for me.

Maestro, are you short then? Wondering why you are dissing your investment all day long, every day? I am filtering you but just a little recap why investors here are invested.
1. None of the new generation tests have been approved yet except NCYT tests who had first mover advantage, but don't have the best tests actually.
2. The UK are going to launch a massive testing campaign from next month to help us gain confidence to get back to our lives following the next stage of the roadmap.
3. The UK do 1 million PCR tests a day. Variants/mutations are going to be a continuing feature according to every public health top adviser in the country. GDR tests work on the mutations and they have confirmed that. They are likely to work on all mutations because they don't rely on the spike protein for detection.
4. The UK have a £20 billion budget going forward. BC and Sysmex are both featured on the framework contracts- GDR partners. They are recognised as applying as part of a group of suppliers (Sysmex) or having subcontractors (BC).
5. The FDA process is slow. They have only approved a handful of tests. BC are two of those they have approved.
6. BC are a multi-billion subsidiary of Danaher- a £164 billion company.
7. The Genedrive testing kit is going out at £10.00 per test according to the BC partnership agreement. The tests are faster than most competitors. The tests can be produced more efficiently than most competitors. The tests meet the FDA criterion.
8. BC have put serious time and effort into this partnership with a relatively small company.
9. The potential is bloody well massive for superb returns from this baseline.
10. We are waiting for approval in Europe, the US and the UK. It could come any time but we don't know when. Neither do any of the test providers know when their tests will be approved. But GDR's is one of the best in class.

We've done this to death. These shares are time limited, reflecting the same status as the EMI shares which are offered to ordinary directors as part of the government EMI scheme. This is a scheme for entrepreneurial companies to help them attract talent. Once the company moves from a small business category- defined by turnover and they must have less than 250 staff they are no longer entitled to EMI shares. They must sell within 3 months of the change in circumstances or they lose the shares altogether. However there are restrictions on when they can sell. They must not sell in the period from the end of the financial year to when the accounts are produced. I shared the legal information on Feb 15th last time this came up. Not sharing again because you can look it up yourself or sell. Bit fed up with useless derampers. My finger is poised over the buy button but you are doing a useless job as always. Our investors know what's what.

Atm mms are at 82-88 on the ask and 78-76 for sells. Looks like you can buy for 81.5 and sell for 79 on level 2 trades.

I bought at 33p teabiscuit. Loads of people did. We've been talking to each other for 11 months. So you don't know what your talking about do you? Most of us have been buying along the way but loads of people are going to be very comfortable with their average because we are about to blow the bloody doors off.

The letter of approval for BC's test approved on 22nd March is uploaded today, dated 25th March. So Beckman Coulter have had 2 tests approved now. Otherwise Genedrive has the same status. They are allowed to distribute without authorisation ('H' status) in high performance labs for complex testing, whilst the application is processed. Hardly anyone has been approved yet. About 5/90. Maybe the market is encouraged by the BC approvals and the UK government will be testing mad from April. We are also in the running there on the frameworks for £15 billion (BC subcontractor) and £5 billion ( Symtex a group of suppliers). GLA

They want BC labs to step up to support continued increase in PCR testing for the foreseeable future.

Avacta haven't sold anything. ODX haven't sold much. SNG haven't sold anything. Why? Because it takes time to develop tests from scratch especially with our regulatory standards and bureaucracy. The US had the nonsense that is Trump all last year who wasn't exactly showing leadership in the pandemic. Now they have a serious government they will catch up. The UK are doing 1 million PCR tests a day. Of course they will want a faster and more integrated solution. It will end up being much cheaper too. We will get some of the UK spend soon enough too. DB confirmed that GDR were in regular contact with PHE.

And it says that the award value is likely to increase because of the pandemic. We can all read Regulator.
