Everyone's obsessed with the FDA which will come when it's ready. BC had a test approved there on Monday 22nd March. Some-one is going to dismiss it as old news in a minute while they carry on hyping up the fear factor. These people are shorts. Otherwise they wouldn't be sitting here ****ging off the company all day every day.
In the meantime, BC and Sysmex are both on the £20 billion UK framework contract with status marked 'awarded'. the BC entry says 'subcontractors expected' and the Sysmex contract says on behalf of a group of suppliers. Even if we only get £100 million we'll be on the map and the upward spiral will begin. The other thing that's new on that contract is that they are saying they are likely to increase the total spend because of the exigencies of the pandemic. No-one likes to try and catch a falling knife. But that's exactly what I'm going to be doing. I must admit- as soon as the knife starts to find a place to hover! Lol.

Maestro, last time I saw it, it was just a huge list of companies on a framework. Now it says the award status is 'awarded'. I guess it doesn't mean 'owt then. Fair enough.

Last time I saw it, it just had a huge list of suppliers on it. Now the status says awarded? And the small print says the value will probably go up again before the contract expiry date.

I appreciate we don't know for how much but there's a very high likelihood GDR are in there isn't it? These two awards are both on behalf of a group of suppliers. So we can't say we haven't got any orders. It took them a month to confirm the maximum award for ODX after the contract had been signed. If they've awarded contracts they will have to be working their way through the list, starting with the bigger players maybe? And agreeing some ball park figures. Should hear something definitive soon. The government have committed to more transparency about contracting since they lost the judicial review in January.

Am I the only one that hasn't seen it? Lol. Ciga is number 28. Part of the £15 billion award. On behalf of a group of suppliers. Got to be the ABC19 test don't you think?

On bidstats. I posted the link late last night when half asleep. 170 awards for 20 billion. It says that Ciga's award is on behalf of a group of suppliers. Many are small companies. Obviously we don't know how much everyone is getting. But the contract status is now marked awarded. I hadn't seen it before. Has everyone else?

170 contracts awarded for £20 billion from now to 2024. It says the contract value is likely to be exceeded. We know Surescreen got £500 million. It's over a billion each on average. But obscure as ever about who gets what. Ciga are listed at number 28. A share of a £15 billion contract. It says the contract has been awarded to a group of suppliers. So looks like ABC19 is happening.

This is exactly what happened on Sunday 14th March. Late night contract award published.
I've tweeted it but I'm not really a tweeter- I'm on Twitter so I can see what's going on and hoped to keep it so. Don't want to get so exposed. But I gave it a go! As you can see it's now saying contract awarded. So might just see a change of fortunes tomoz. I am buying anyway. I was thinking we could do a Reddit. Got a feeling that drop was an orchestrated short from Calculus lending out just below the 0.5% threshold. Bit late to organise a fightback but if there's enough buying they will have to close the shorts and that in itself will cause a boost and we might have a chance of recovering the sp much more quickly than expected. If anyone is up early can you reshare the link please?

Anyone still here? What do you reckon? I haven't seen this update before. The date says it was issued in November but all the contracts are all over the place for dates. It definitely wasn't showing anything was awarded last time I checked which was this week. I read so much I can't recall what day but maybe mid week. Is it new? If so this was exactly what happened to ODX on Sunday 14th March- late night contract issued on bidstats. Obviously not enough detail but certainly means we aren't reliant on the US.

Yeah. Phone out of juice. Just booting up my pc. Last time I looked the framework just had a list of companies on it. Now it's allocated each company to either the £15 or the 5 billion pound contract and it's also saying that is likely to increase. Will share the link properly now from my pc.

This framework contract appears to have been updated. ODX got theirs issued last Sunday night. It was clearly a surprise to them that it was issued. They ended up putting out 2 RNS.
Looks like the DHSC are trying to meet the expectation set by the judicial review this year to publish with more transparency. Beckman Coulter are listed at number 13 for a share of a £15 billion contract. Subcontractors likely it says. Sysmex are number 124. For a share of a £5 billion contract. Subcontractors likely.
The framework runs to 2024. The value of the contracts are likely to be exceeded it says due to the pandemic.

I guess you didn't have to sell guys. It's an uncomfortable place to be in selling when you think the share will recover and you know it has superb potential. Lord Paul stop asking the same question. We already answered your question last week. We who are still invested are obviously expecting a recovery. Genedrive have been approved in Europe and South Africa and Thailand now. Rather an improvement on any other covid play except ODX who have actually won a government contract for tens of millions of tests at least. In the public domain with a DHSC press release.
Put a buy limit order on. Just guess. If you guess too low buy live. That's what I will do to reduce my average. It's oversold. Even then there were as many buys as sells. It will recover fast on a sniff of movement from the FDA which people will be watching night and day. GLA.

Let's not forget little ole blighty as a potential market. The UK is doing over 1 million PCR tests a day atm. Beckman Coulter are on the framework contract. Genedrive test kits work on their machines and Roche's too. That budget is intended to be spent by May this year according to Dido Harding's testimony to the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee in January. £3 billion for lateral flow tests and the rest for PCRs, machinery and test and trace infrastructure. Wouldn't we want faster, more efficient PCR tests too?

And the guidance also mentions that saliva tests and swab tests may also be available in line with the updated MHRA guidance to manufacturers stating that this is now required and that they are not commissioning the tonsil grabber types (my description- can't recall the scientific word atm). Lord Paul, how long is a piece if string? Strong buying is matching the selling atm. Why don't you put a buy limit order on for 67p. If they don't pick it up just watch and press the buy button at what looks like the days low. You have no guarantee it won't start a recovery from here though. If there's even a muscle movement on the FDA EUA the GDR Twitteratti will go mad and sentiment will bounce the sp back fast. At the end of the day the sp was opened down by the MMs. That created the panic stations. Pis have bought as fast as others sold.
The FDA EUA process is very transparent. You can see how it's progressing at every stage. Atm it's been allocated a reviewer and a decision is pending as I recall.
